Likely a bit odd that I've purchased three of these over the last couple of years - our family uses a lot of tech, and sometimes having a remote on/off switch is really handy. For example, I have two completely different kinds of lighting on my desk, one a back-light for my large monitor, and by combining this switch with a multi-wall socket adapter that I plug into *this* product, I can turn both lights on and off via the button on this product, conveniently positioned on the side of my desk. In another similar use case, I use this to jointly turn on lighting for several wall-mounted art pieces. In other use case, I needed to turn on a bug zapper located up on top of our kitchen cabinets. Pros: * Well built, and looks sturdy enough to last. * Functions well ... quiet, but detectable "click" for on/off feels satisfying. * The wall wart sticks out to the side, but is cleverly designed to only use up one socket on a standard wall socket. * The 6' chord for the switch is long enough for a wide range of "remote" switching needs. * Reasonable price considering the quality of design and quality of all the components. Cons: * Minor nit: An on/off indicator LED in the on/off switch housing would have been the "Chef's Kiss" ;-) Bottom Line: Love this product - using in three applications and it's working great.

This was a purchase for my aging mother who was having trouble plugging/unplugging the Christmas tree this year (no on/off switch, just plug for on, unplug for off...it's a small artificial tree). This worked perfectly, with the on/off switch placed on a nearby table that she could reach very easily. Seems very well made, worked flawlessly.

Works well, but loses state after loss of power. I was running an aquarium pump through one of these when I decided to move the plug to a different socket on my power strip. That was when I noticed that these don’t go back to their previous state upon a brief break in power. This could’ve been disastrous for my aquarium if we had a short blip in power or brown out.

It's well made and stays in place. A great way to turn lamp on/off conveniently.

This item works great! My dad is 97 and is legally blind, and has trouble turning on and off his radios in different rooms. This is a great and easy fix. Press and listen, press and it’s off. No more moving wrong dials. Would be great for a lamp as well! Recommended.
