Simple, effective
does what its supposed to. Be sure to connect with the app to update any firmware and modify any settings.I use this for peace of mind to restart my router and modem in the event of loss of service, just to rule out the 'have you rebooted' question from support when you call for an outage. Its nice to know it'll keep trying without intervention since I run a few things at home and I always seem to lose internet and/or power when I'm traveling and want to access something from my home network.

Good device, awful app.
As described, with a very buggy and annoying app.

Worked as intended - until it didn't
I bought this about 6 months ago to reset my cable modem and router once a week. It was easy to set up and worked as intended until a couple weeks ago. While I was away on a trip during it's weekly reboot it turned off on schedule, but never turned back on. It was locked in the "Off" state. This left my cameras, thermostat and security system offline until I returned home. When I did I tried using the button to reset it but it was locked up. I had to unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in. It then came back online and acted normally. I changed to frequency to reboot every night for troubleshooting purposes while I contacted tech support.I described what happened to tech support via email, they usually responded within a day, often asking the same question the previous person asked. Then it locked up again, this time in the "On" state. I replied again to the now long email thread with customer support. They initially replied that the system was online, which I knew. Once I directly asked for a replacement, they stopped responding. After all this I cannot recommend this device.

Such a headache saver
I was having to reboot my modem multiple times a day to stay connected to the internet. If I went away from the house I inevitably would lose internet and therefore be unable to connect to my security cameras. Very frustrating. I hate that I had to reboot so often, and this device was a game changer for us.

Useful product with much room for improvement in both hardware and software
I have a vacation home where the shoddy service provided by Cox goes down on a regular basis and every once in a while the modem requires a power reset to reconnect. This gadget looked like a cleaner alternative to a USB relay connected to a script running on my Raspberry Pi Homebridge server.Installation proceeded smoothly until I entered the SSID and password of my WiFI network; the software claimed it was reconnecting to my network but stayed on the Rebooter's instead. I tried at least 10 times, resetting, unplugging/replugging, no luck.At my wit's end, I thought I'd try to see if there was something to connect to on the Rebooter while I was attached to its internal access point, and looking at its IP I found out it was using the same IP subnet as I was (192.168.4) so I took the step of changing my router's IP to another (192.168.5) -- a massive pain in the neck because I have over a hundred devices connected and some of them are slow to update and complain a lot.Went through the setup process again... And sure enough it completed flawlessly. After that, I switched my router's IP back to its initial value (192.168.4) and all went back to normal and the Rebooter reconnected just fine. So, mixed feelings about this device. I guess most people won't have 192.168.4 as their LAN IP, so setup will run without problems for them. However, I'm concerned that if the product developers could make such a rookie mistake, what else did they overlook? It would have been so simple to have an Ethernet port instead, you're installing the device in the direct vicinity of your modem/router anyway, so an Ethernet wire would be so much simpler with zero configuration and would have alleviated the need to write a phone app -- just put in an internal configuration web server and call it a day.On the other hand, most people are unlikely to encounter this problem, so for them setup will take 2 minutes and it's a "set it and forget it" product, so it's not so bad.The smartphone app allows you to configure a few parameters (how long to wait when the device can no longer reach out any of its external reference servers before cutting off power, how long to keep the power off) and set up a schedule so you can automatically restart the router on preset days and times.Overall, a very useful device, with room for improvement.[UPDATE] a year later, this gadget has saved my bacon a half dozen times already. Very happy with its performance and reliability, such a cool, easy to setup gadget!

Works perfectly every time you need to do a remote reboot
It's amazing control for times you are away from home and need to restart your router. Have installed 3 of these at some of my customers houses also.

Good rebooter but needs work
The rebooter works good but it changes the settings after every reboot. Under advanced type it changes from router to other and i noticed my detection times and reboot delay were changed, i found out the rebooter changed my detection times and delay settings from router to modem settings. Now it’s getting annoying and changing the settings by itself, i had to turn off intelligent reboot because its changed setting to 10 minutes for a reboot. I hope they get this fixed correctly.

Fixed my issues - Internet stays up AND I can continue working when the house is without power!
Slowly but surely my internet started to go out on me a couple of times a week. And, since I have a lot of equipment in my server room, the thought of troubleshooting the issue seemed VERY time-consuming.Instead, I bought this gadget and haven't looked back.Setup that I use and recommend:1.) I got a power-strip so I could plug in the following items into its device: Router, Network Switch, Cable box, etc... These are all the devices that I want rebooted when the internet fails.2.) The device naturally works by rebooting this equipment when there is an internet failure. But, I ALSO set it up to reboot this equipment every day at 4 a.m. Since I've done this, my random internet failures a couple of times a week have disappeared. This is obviously a workaround and doesn't fix my initial problem, but I'm happy with it.3.) DID YOU KNOW... If you take the setup I just described above and plug it into a suitable backup power supply, you'll still have internet service when you have a power outage. I also have a suitable backup supply on my home office computer and monitors. So, I can continue working and/or gaming for up to 60 minutes whenever the power goes out, which is typically for only a few minutes at a time. According to my kids, this makes me a "HACKER".
