Cant beat the price for what compared to some of the others on the market. Over all does what I needed, surprisingly most of the parts are made of metal, Roller, Handle and bottom bar. I would recommend to a personal friendPro- Easy to install, took 30 min. most of that time was getting tools and ladder.- Support brackets and Roller are made of metal(Very rare thing to find these day)- Control Rod handle folds to become a strait rod when not in use. easy to detach- Included all parts needed even screw(FYI the screws are cheap plated ones, Plan on them stripping out the heads)Con- A week after being exposed to water notices some of the roll pins that attach the handles leaching rust stains around them. Also noticed as slight squeak from the Roller mechanism, not really a issue- The weight rod at the bottom is really light. I doesn't take very much wind to get it moving. Plan on using the loops on the bottom if you using it in an area that has a good breeze.- Had to reattach the bottom rail, due to wind issue, not sure if it a defect. I wasn't home to roll it upModifications- Since I had it hanging close to the door. I put some foam bumper on each end to dampen some of the noise when it bumped the house when it would tap the wall.

I operate a small state licensed childcare in my home. One of the many regulations that I have to follow is there cannot be any mini-blinds or window coverings with cords of any kind in the licensed space. I tried putting up curtains in the place of the blinds but they became a source of entertainment for the children and were constantly being laundered. I have a large picture window that faces our neighbors home. In the spring and summer months I have a huge lilac bush that blocks their view into my home. But in the winter when the leaves fall they have a clear view into my living room. I considered putting up window tint but it makes the room dark and depressing especially when there is cloud cover and at night when the lights are on they can still see right inside the house. I was looking for something that I could use as needed to either block the afternoon sun in the summer and provide the privacy we needed. I found this shade on Amazon and had to order it. I like the fact that it is a hand crank system no gears to get stuck or break or cords to fray and break. It is very lightweight and incredibly easy to install, I did it myself in less than 30 minutes. Looking from inside the house outward I can see shapes and movement which is nice so I can see when parents are coming and going. Looking from outside in after dark with the livingroom light on all I see is the glow from the light. I love it!!!! The crank hangs on the blind or you can remove it for storage. The bottom of the crank bends in two places to give you a cool handle to raise and lower the shade. The simplicity of this shade is exactly what I have been looking for and has completely solved my privacy issue. I would highly recommend this blind it’s easy to use, attractive and the price is great!

Wow this 6' X 6' Window Sun Shade is absolutely gorgeous! It is a sand color and really keeps a lot of the suns rays out but does not make it dark and the air an still move thru it. It is made of a high-density polyethylene weave material which can handle being in high heat like the sunlight and any other possible weather,it is strong enough that it will last a long time. This shade is guaranteed for 5 years. It comes with the hardware necessary to install it. My husband and Dad are installing it, mine is being installed on my porch and I will have a little bungalow to sit outside without roasting in the sun. Another thing I like about it is I can still see thru it and look at the scenery, it does not block everything off. I can have it down or easily roll it up. I realy like that I can have it down and my neighbors can't see what I am doing, so good bye noosey neighbor haha. I think the color goes with just about any color of house. Good quality as I had had cooleroo brand before and these are great for price too! These are mounted on outside porch in hot rainy sunny Florida. I tethered with bungee cords and it works good on very windy days.

Great shade! Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the fact that the package had obviously been opened before (maybe it was a return) and the box didn't include any instructions or paperwork whatsoever. Luckily it didn't take a genius to figure out how to install the shade and we're extremely happy with it. We were so pleased with it that we've ordered a second shade which should arrive today.

Works great as a sun shade and keeps my room sooo much cooler in California summers when the sun is beating down on my sliding door. Also works well when it's raining to keep out the rain, but also let me smell some fresh rain!

Our apartment patio faces east. The direct sunrise during warmer months bakes you in the morning. This product cuts the temp way down, making it bareable to enjoy the mornings on the patio.It rolls up and down easily. It only takes one person to complete the task. However, it does tend to roll a bit tighter on one side than the other. So, two people rolling it up works out better. One can crank while the other guides the shade evenly.We recently noticed that the metal on the removeable wand is starting to rust a wee bit. So, we are keeping it inside except for when we are actively rolling the shade. Generally, we're pleased with the product thus far.

If you have any wind at all, do not purchase these. They are flimsy and act like a sail when they catch the wind. Lots of duct tape advised, which makes them look terrible. I imagine in a windless environment they would work well.

I purchased this shade to stop the sun glare in my living room. That improvement was immediate but it also cooled the entire room!

Nice product,size is correct , rolls easy, no installation instructions, one of two units had been returned by somebody because one rod that has tie down loops is bent,but still...

This item work as designed but three stars are for missing plastic end cap of counter weight. Unpacked item and install, noticed only one end cap at bottom.

I hung this in front of my large picture window and my house faces the west and no shade to keep out sun and heat. I did have to put 2 anchors in the flower bed to tie it down.

Bought two, for our porch......Very easy to install .....easy to operate... cooled the porch about 20 degrees VERY pleased with this product....

Easy to install but the plastic hook to roll shade up and down is very poorly made an broke the first time I tried to roll it up. Needs to bake made of more substantial material.
