Mudville Skinning Pliers

Perfect for pulling the membrane off slabs of ribs before smoking.

Great for skinning catfish and shark. I also used them to pull the hide on a pig I was dressing out. The wide mouth prevents the skin from shredding as with simple pliers and vice-grips. Also good for breaking sea-urchin shells into bowls so you can eat the meat right from the shell. The are very simple and heavy duty. I'll be putting some grip-tape on them later. That would be the only improvement I could recommend, unless the manufacture wants to make them a little more "duck-billed" and then add some friction lines to the tips. BUT these do work pretty darn good.

Does the trick. I've used other pliers like this and these have been the best. The rubber grip on them is what really makes these work so well. Catfish are so slippery, so having that grip makes all the difference.

Fits very well in my hand and doesn't slip. Quite effective in skinning a catfish.

I was looking forward to having these but I went back to regular pliers because they do not grip the skin as they advertised. I would have sent them back but I have tried to use them on some fish I caught, and yes they were catfished over 2 pounds, not small fish.

These get used daily in a fish house. So far they work great. Time will tell how long they preform & last.
