Live Venus Fly Trap Plant - Fully Potted (Dionaea Muscipula) Carnivorous Plant - Bite and Blossom

I've purchased these plants from other providers (and they did well) that are no longer on Amazon. So, I decided to purchase from this provider.The plant did not seem to like it's trip (maybe a discount airlines haha). But, it was healthy and immediately began to thrive.I live in a humid warm climate. So, I put it outside right away. I put the little pot in a small bowl and made sure there was always an inch or so of water in the bowl. Since I've had the plant (a couple of weeks), 2 new 'traps' have sprouted and opened.I've had a good experience and would recommend this provider.

The plants started to wilt and turn black just a few days after receiving them. They are now completely wilted and dead. Very disappointed as they were gifts to my grandchildren.

So my Venus is growing. You need to follow the instructions on the can. Distilled water no reg. water should be used. The can was smaller than I thought but the plant is growing. Needs a lot of sun and water.

Its been a little while since I got it, and it's doing really good. Lost 2 traps, but they grew back. I didn't pay attention to the dimensions in the photo and thought it'd be bigger, but we're enjoying it regardless and it's bigger than my last one. Great starter plant.

Maybe he ate too many flies at once? I don’t know, but I followed care directions carefully & trap by trap turning black, it appears completely dead. I’m cautiously optimistic it comes back? Not likely. Was SO ROBUST & HEALTHY on arrival. Should I have put a net dome over, so that the plant wasn’t digesting 5 trapped flies at once?

The Venus fly trap plant (right in the photo) looks healthy enough. Came with a couple of heads on it, but is much much smaller than I expected from the pictures. The packaging was also a bit of a mess. But I do appreciate the pot that came with specific care instructions.

This plant never caught a fly on its own. I had to hand feed it. I also gave it only distilled water as instructed but it still died.

This is a large vibrant plant, it arrived in beautiful condition, looking forward to seeing it thrive. Very clear detailed growing instructions on the website.
