I've pretty much always bought the thermal grease in syringes and decided to give this a try. With the included spreader, a very surprisingly low amount is needed in covering the entire surface of a CPU. This jar is going to last me for years, and when it's time for a replacement, I know exactly what I'm getting.I've refurbished and repaired many computers and this thermal compound is about as good as they get, especially for the price.

The heat sink on the hot end of my 3d printer needed better contact with adjacent parts. The manufacturer paid no attention to thermal contact. Nothing is flat and there's big air gaps... So I wanted a gap filler. This stuff is thick enough to qualify.But rather than use the applicator, I opened the jar and just stuck my finger in there. Then I realized it is like the Tin Man Wizard of Oz paint. It doesn't just wipe off. All in all, good stuff, good deal.

So far I think the Gennel Silver thermal paste is performing pretty well. I have noticed a 2-3 degree decrease in my temperatures at idle and with a light to moderate load on the CPU when compared to the Arctic Silver MX4 I was using. I just started using it but so far it has exceeded my expectations. The real test will be it longevity. Will it continue to perform well over time or will it be like most of the other cheap thermal pastes out there and fail after just a couple weeks? I guess I'll find out and let you know when I do.

Definitely 5 stars in my opinion. Decent amount of thermal paste for the price. The application tool is very useful and easy to clean off.Worked very well for my application to improve the heat conductivity from the component to the aluminum heat sink I fabricated out of 1/16" aluminum.

Works like thermal paste should. I am using between heating elements and aluminum block for a heated press and it does the job

Too thin and liquefied. Doesn’t stay on place. Runny.
