Ryukakusan Direct Herbal Supplement Mint (16 sachets) (1 Box) (Solstice)

I take one immediately at the onset of an inkling of a sore throat. It immediately gives temporary relief of the sore throat. My sore throat does not materialize into a full blown cold. Not sure if it's related, but in past years, my sore throat typically turns into a cold or flu.

I have used this in Japan many years ago. This is easier to swallow because of the mint flavor.It works to reduce and control the cough.

When I first ordered this Japanese cough powder, I felt it worked well. I even ordered the peach flavor which was cheaper. However, it isn't available now. The Blue box mint one somehow doesn't work as well. Did they change the formula? Or has my cough progressed more? It's rather expensive for 16 sachets. This is the second time I ordered it. I find it's still expensive but it works.

I had a cold with an itchy throat and some coughing while I was traveling in Japan. The pharmacist referred me to take the mint flavored Ryukakusan one packet up to six times a day. After I took three packets a day for two days, I was fully recovered. Now, whenever I felt the first symptom of a scratchy throat, I will take the powder immediately and it never d develop into a cold and I was fine.I will order more when I ran out and I will always bring them with me when I travel.

I thought there would be a strong herbal smell but there weren't like the original flavor.Like it :)

Not very powerful

Tastes funky but works very well to suppress coughs.
