Style:iPhone 7 / 8 / SE (2020) | Color:clear Get a grip with Kung Fu Grip by Smartish. This case strikes the grip sweet spot, putting the odds against gravity ever-so-slightly in your favor. With its ultra-light and durable construction, it's both thin AND protected. The corner air-pockets (think airbags for your phone) truly corner the market on protection, and corny jokes. With a bezeled front, it also safely elevates your phone's screen off the table and away from rough surfaces. You bezel believe it.

Perfect texture, flexibility and grip.
I had one of these for my iPhone 7 and loved it so I got one for my iPhone 8 Plus and this one is even better. The previous case was more like the "Kung Fu Grip" they describe here but would have been unworkable on a phone this large. It's flexible and has exactly the amount of grip you need to prevent dropping or sliding accidents, but not so much that it won't slip into a pocket or purse. The fit is a "smidge" tight and I assume that's because it fits both the 7 Plus and the 8 Plus (the 8 is just a hair longer and thicker than the 7). I'm expecting that the tighter fit will equate to less dust and whatnot ingress between the phone and case. The case curves over the top just enough to provide protection for the glass front (including the screen protector) when you set it face down on a flat surface. Same thing on the back side, where a tiny raised ridge allows you to lay it down without the surface contacting the camera lenses. While it probably doesn't qualify as an "ultra-slim" case, it only adds about 2 millimeters to each side of the phone. Any less than that and I would begin to doubt the protective value of a case.It is a simple, absurdly inexpensive, well designed, well made phone case and I highly recommend it.

For Mindful iPhone Users
The Silk is a phenomenal minimal iPhone case.I've upped my review to 5 Stars after having used it for a year, while alternately testing it in comparison to other cases. The main thing about the Silk, at least for me, is that it has exactly JUST the right amount of textured, tactile, grip so that I don't drop my phone in the first place, while still allowing me to slip it in and out of pockets with ease.In addition there's no weird, obtrusive, raised surfaces (or odd-textured design elements) on the sides or back, so it simply feels nicer to hold than ANY other case I've used on iPhones over the years. The Silk branding is also super minimal, on the back in keeping to the overall theme; it's almost invisible and even beautiful in it's simplicity. The caveat with the Silk is that you must be someone who is also "mindful" with your iPhone in the first place. The Silk has protection, but it is NOT, by any means, an ultimate drop protection solution—and it doesn't claim to be. So if you tend to drop your phone, get something more robust (or find an additional carrying case large enough to use with the Silk). Again, I've noticed I just don't drop the Silk in comparison to the "military grade" drop protection cases I own.Additionally, because the Silk is designed to be thin, there are only a few millimeters between your iPhone screen and any flat surface. It is just the right amount of space in my estimation and the same goes for the protection of the camera lens on back. Again, it helps if you are mindful about where you set your iPhone down—which is true in any case.I've concluded that the Silk is a fantastic, practically perfect iPhone case. It suit my normal, everyday, iPhone use. I find I truly miss the feel, balance and texture it gives my iPhone when I am not using it.

Great look, great feel, great protection
I am highly satisfied with this product! The original reason I bought this is because my previous case (Spigen Ultra Hybrid [2nd Generation]) was a clear-backed case, and, as I have a Jet Black iPhone 7, anything that gets between my protector and my phone is SUPER obvious. Although I had it for approximately a year, the case itself was perfectly fine and showed minimal signs of wear. Even so, I decided it was time for a new case that would actually look good on my phone. I wanted something minimalistic, sleek, and (of course) as black as my Jet Black phone. After spending much more time researching than I should have, I settled on this case, and I am not disappointed. The case feels very nice and, based upon the drop tests I performed (I dropped my phone three times each from 3 feet and 3.5 feet high (the pocket heights of tall and very tall people, respectively) onto a wood floor, and there isn’t so much as scratch on the case.Pros: feels great, looks great, and (according to my experiments) offers great protectionCons: the only way this case could be improved is if it were a hybrid case. My past experience has shown me that the edges of this kind of case case sometimes stretch out over time, and therefore become a little floppy/no longer touch the sides of the phone. However, for the time being, it still fits nice and snug, and I am hopeful that it will stay that way as long as I take good care of it.Overall: I would definitely recommend this case if you want a solid-color phone case. If you have a Jet Black iPhone especially, this is the case you will want. However, if you want a clear case, the Spigen Ultra Hybrid [2nd Generation] stood the test of time for me, as it lasted for over a year with only frivolous scratches and scuff marks. We shall see if this Silk case lives up to the precedent set for it by Spigen- if anything goes wrong, I will revisit this review.

The right case for the responsible customer
I’ve purchased this case in black and I absolutely love it and I’ll tell you why .I feel as this case is the right choice for the type of person who is careful with their phones to begin with, meaning it’s rare for you that you drop phone but you know it’s happens. I’ve bought this case for the comfort it would have in my hands for everyday daily use , and I feel comfortable leaving my phone on a flat surface and not worrying about it getting any scratches or dings. If you are an individual who unintentionally drops their phone all the time this may not be the case for you , try a slightly bulky alternative. But if you sound like you are me who is careful with their phone and want the slimness this is the right case for you , it’s lightweight , thin and comfortable in the hand . Also don’t get me wrong I feel pretty confident that in the event when my phone does fall it will be safe, but may be a different but may be a different story for anyone who regularly engaging in rough or thought activities where their phone constantly falls. This case fits my needs
