CalDigit TS3 Plus Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station with USB-C to HDMI 2.0b Adapter

One of the best docking stations I have. Is able to power three monitors and my gaming laptop as well as handle my speakers, keyboard, and mouse without power issues

Pro:Enough ports to connect SSD drives and other USB devices. It will run monitor also. have Network and headphone jacks also.Con: it is kind of expensive, Mac mini is $699 so it is almost 50% of the cost of Mac mini.I guess it is best option available for thunder bolt 3 dock, I hope it last. so far I don't have any issues.

I really appreciate these features:SPDIF - few docks have thatDisplayPort (more later)87W Power Delivery for the laptopWhat I don't like:There is only one downstream TB port. Maybe a limitation because this is TB3, not TB4.I wish the ethernet was 10GbE - I have to use a bulky "dongle" from Caldigit, which consumes the one downstream TB port. However, I do use the GigE for my main network (10G is for direct connect to my NAS).The DisplayPort was not very happy with my NEC monitor. Specifically, the monitor would not blank when the screen blanked. It worked OK with my BenQ 4k but that's not what I needed it to do. I have since added a second BenQ, but Tech Support was not very interested in solving the problem.With all the connections it gets pretty busy cable-wise, but I supposed they all would suffer the same fate.The USB-C to HDMI adapter that came as a combo with this was useless for my Macbook, so that part went back. I have one of the monitors directly connected to the MBP's HDMI port which means I have to unplug two cables to go mobile. First world problem.I only took one star off as this meets most of my needs. I guess a TB4 version with all of the same features, plus 3 downstream ports and maybe 10GbE built in would be ideal.

It powers basically my whole music studio. Expensive? Yes. But it gets the job done.

I have a small desktop and needed a docking station with multiple ports. The CalDigit TS3 Plus docking station fits the bill perfectly.

I use it to drive my ultrawide, soundbar and 4k web cam. Works great, no issues and looks nice on the desk.

Plugged it in and zero power. Sending back.
