This is the best kettle I have ever had now and 15 months ...
This is the best kettle I have ever had now and 15 months in- it's still fabulous- easy water fill and solid wide base that can't ever be tippedThere are options for various temp for teas inc green tea on front temp slide which is also helpful if you need some hot water for another culinary purpose and not boilingLooks amazing and solidly performs and to add to it is has a double wall so never super hot to the touch - it's weighty but then that's why it's built to last - my friends who have gone on to buy them love them too- amazing .

Avoid - amazing look but not fit for purpose
Broke just outside of warranty. Only lasted 2 years. For the price - TERRIBLE.

Total waste of money
My kettle is out of warranty but has broken. I expected something costing this much to last longer but when I contacted 'Customer Care' I was told it was too expensive to repair but that they would graciously offer me a 30% discount on a new one! Do they think I am mad enough to throw more good money away? Also, the paint has chipped very badly on the spout so it is looking shabbier than it should. I will never buy a Kitchenaid product again. Their name was good when they concentrated on mixers manufactured in the US. Now they have branched out and the kettles are made in China - but with ripoff prices!

Disappointing
I bought this from a shop, not Amazon - but given the cost and its quality, I'm compelled to write a review.I bought the kettle as a gift to my parents who had just had their kitchen re-done. The first kettle we got didn't work so had to return it to the shop (not a great start). The 2nd kettle was great initially, it looks great and makes a nice ding sound when it's boiled - everyone was happy. That was until 14 -18 months later when this one randomly stopped working too. To be fair to Kitchen Aid, they've agreed to repair it. However, it took a week for them to collect it and it's now been over a month and it's still not come back. My parents have obviously had to buy a kettle to use temporarily in the meantime. Given the price of the kettle and it supposidly being a high end product, it's been a massive disappointment.

Don’t waste your money and Steer clear
Very disappointed with this kettle and customer service, it is my fourth replacement in just over 3 years, all of which just stopped working, only offered 30% discount to buy a new one, as the guarantee doesn’t start from date of replacement but from the date of original purchase, not good enough for a kettle costing over £130. I have always spoke highly of all my kitchen aid gadgets, but sadly would never recommend them again due to such poor customer service.

Unbelievably unreliable!
Two of the kettles had lid springs failers! On the third kettle now and heating element failed after 15months. Nothing but trouble! Unbelievable. Great design but unfortunately not worth repairing. Many YouTube videos about starting but not heating up and flashing lights.

Poor design, poor customer service.
Lovely kettle in so many ways but... I gave it a wipe over with a damp cloth today and the 'Fill level indicator scale' wiped clean away. I no longer have a guide indicating if the minimum fill level has been reached or if the maximum fill level has been exceeded, or indicating how many 'cups' it contains. Rang Kitchen Aid's Helpline and they said it is classed as a 'paint issue' so nothing can be done; no repair, no replacement. Never mind that the scale serves the function of helping to prevent the kettle from being broken by being boiled with too little water in it. Never mind that there is now no indication of it being overfilled, meaning I'm likely to end up with this happening and boiling water overflowing onto my kitchen worktop. Poor design and poor customer service.
