It really fits in my swivel chair.

Purchased these to replace the auto-locking casters that came with my Ikea Markus office chair. They are perfect replacement wheels for non-standard 10mm caster stems (such as those found in Ikea office chairs). I easily installed these in my Ikea Markus office chair (purchased in 2016), although it did take some effort to pull out the originals and to push these in. They are a true joy to roll around on! We have hardwood floors throughout and these wheels are smooth and quiet. I should also mention that these casters will raise the chair up a few cm higher than the original Ikea casters that come with it, so it's worth measuring if that could cause a problem for you. I like that the wheels have a fender and that the ball bearings are tightly sealed so as not to pick up hair and other entanglements on the ground. I will update this review if anything changes. Just to clarify, the Ikea Markus chair (and many other Ikea chairs) use non-standard 10mm caster stems (standard caster stems are 11mm wide....FYI if it doesn't list dimensions it's probably standard sizing). The standard casters on the Ikea chairs have an auto-lock function that they will not roll unless someone is sitting in the chair (super annoying). Ikea doesn't sell polyurethane (PU) wheels (aka rollerblade wheels), and it's almost impossible to find them in stores. But, you can find these products on a variety of caster specific distributor sites, you may want to check and see if you have any local providers (just google caster and you'll see some providers). The online caster distributors/websites seem to have some cheaper options and usually have 10mm stems available. I purchased from AXL because they are prime (easy & quick shipping/returns), have wheels that are sold as replacements for Ikea chairs, quality built, and end up costing about the same as most online distributors/websites when you include/subtract shipping because of Prime. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase so far. The wheels look and function perfectly with my new Ikea chair.....significantly better (and worth every penny) than the auto-lock casters that Ikea sells with this product and other office chairs.

These casters work great! So much better than the other set of casters I got from another company for another chair. The chair changes directions so easy and it glides over carpet or hard surfaces so much better. These worked on my office chair from Ikea too.

FANTASTIC! The original wheels on our ikea desk chair had given up! These wheels snapped right into place & gave our chair a second life!!

PROBLEM: My wife loves her IKEA office chair, but the casters went wonky almost immediately. The first plan was to see if I could just buy a new set of casters from IKEA. Hahahahaha! (sniff) You silly optimist you. The second plan was just to rebuy another chair of the same model. Nnnnnnnnope. Don't sell this model any more. CRUD! I was excited when I saw these replacement casters pop up in my Amazon suggestions. And they were PERFECT! At first I was concerned the mount stems were a tad longer than the posts on the original casters. But they fit fine. The rollers work fantastic! You know the old saying: "Happy wife, nobody stabs you to death in your sleep." Or something like that. PROBLEM SOLVED. I'm a hero. Local hero, sure, but I'll take it.

Another update as of 10 Feb 2023: I purchased another set of these for another IKEA chair. Yes, a little difficult to get the old ones out and the new ones in, but spent less than ten minutes on the whole project. I highly recommend these for replacement casters for the IKEA office chairs. Edit nearly five years later: These casters are still rolling along great after years of daily use. Little did I know that I would go home in March of 2020 and not go back to the office, so my small investment in the new casters was perfect. They do not mark my laminate floor, roll smoothly, and are still perfect. Ultimately much better than buying a new office chair. I just received these a few minutes ago, and have already swapped them for the casters that came on my IKEA office chair (VILGOT model). The stem is the correct size; three of the five went in smoothly, two were a little more difficult, but still manageable. All told, it took less than five minutes to open the package, replace the casters, and sign in to write this review. They do roll very smoothly over the wood laminate floor in my home office. Another plus is that the chair now turns well, something that the old casters would not do. The original IKEA casters had started literally falling apart, leaving pieces of wheel all over the floor.
