If you own Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, you will not be disappointed with this purchase. All I've heard about Prismacolor pencils is they blend wonderfully and they are impossible to sharpen without breakage. I got a 24 pack to test when they showed up on Amazon for $10.87. I thought, "What's the worst that can happen?" I colored with them and found they blend BEAUTIFULLY, but the nicest of handheld sharpeners, one by M&R and one by Kum, silll left me with dull tips. I received this sharpener today and just whizzed through the sharpening of 12 Prismacolor pencils. They're sharp like my Polychromos pencils are when I hand sharpen them! I've never been so excited about a pencil sharpener! Now I have the feeling I'll need to invest in some rechargable batteries! ;-)

Works ok. Battery operated. I bought this as a replacement for my electric pencil sharpener that I had for years. For me it doesn't get as sharp of point on my watercolor and colored pencils that I want & doesn't sharpen evenly. It is better than a manual sharpener, but I will be looking for one similar to what I had before.This would be fine for regular use, for children, homeschooling, & teachers. I believe it would hold up well.

This Pencil Sharpener worked very good on ~ 2 sets(10 pencils/set) of wooden colored art pencils. Then it stopped working and I could not get it to work any more. I could not see what was wrong and finally threw it out. Note I changed batteries a couple of time, but it would not work anymore.

This is a great product for the price. However, it seems like pencil tips keep breaking off inside the sharpener, so my kids can't use it again until it is fixed. It is not difficult to fix it, but my kids never realize that his is the reason that their pencils won't sharpen and they keep trying to use it.

The media could not be loaded.  I have never used any electric pencil sharpener. But since my older child just started preschool. I would need to sharpen some large pencils and color pencils i would show in the video. This pencil sharpener is just what I need. It has two sizes holes. And it operates on battery which makes very portable. One thing to note is that for the larger hole to operate, you'll need to press down the button. I almost thought it is broken before I figured that out hah. Anyway, I'm glad I got it. (It also comes with replacement blades:)

Started to return because the large hole didn't seem to work. When I searched for another sharpener, I saw one just like it that showed the button in front needed to be depressed in order for the large pencil to be able to go down the opening. Works great, instructions would have been nice.

Since this is a battery operated unit the power of spinning the blades is not that great. It is nice to have the larger pencil hole that requires you to push a button on top in order to insert the pencil as a protection so that kids don't sharpen their fingers.

The sharpener does excellent job! Very compact, easy to carry.It is really sweet to include a small screw driver for blade replacement.The design of safety bottom on the top is smart. Kids like to put their fingers into all holes that they can reach. The large hole does not work without pressing the front bottom. Good to have it!
