Q: Can this be plugged directly into an iphone for conducting teleconferencing?

This headset does have Bluetooth connectivity for cell phones, but according to the manual "the microphone will not transmit unlessplugged into an intercom." I played around with my Galaxy S3, and that held true. I think you need a plane to go with it if you want to use it for teleconferencing, which would be both expensive and hard to fit in your laptop bag.

Q: Can music be played through the Bluetooth while not plugged into the aircraft?

In the ones I have, Bluetooth can only be used for phone calls, not for streaming music. For music you use the regular 3.5mm jack. I have never used them outside the aircraft so I can comment on the wired music experience

Q: Does this product come with a warranty?

The Lightspeed does come with factory warranty. In order to utilize the warranty, your headset must be registered with Lightspeed. By the way, the Sierra is by far the most comfortable headset I ever wore.

Q: has anyone tried them for Kids around 5? do they seal good to provide the same level ANR

I think they should be OK. I've flown with the grandkids (now 7 and 9, but also earlier) and they seem to be happy with these, the older version, or the old standard David Clarks. Key is that the headband has to be adjusted to its shortest setting for a smaller head. Good luck.
