amazing for the money, a couple of nuances in the review.
Great product for the money, use care (gloves, glasses and hearing protection)amazingly usually starts on one pull, if doesn't check settings (red on/off, fuel on, choke, fuel, make sure you have plenty of fresh fuel and oil)If it stalls or won't start, place it on level ground. The slightest incline can cause oil level sensor to stop engine.Following the others recommendations, I really avoid putting anything over 2" wide in here, maybe less for really hard woods.IF ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER, turn red button to "off", get a stick (not your hand) and turn the blade backwards... when you get it moving, you will probably see the obstruction, can be really small chunk of wood. When it is no longer jammed, should turn over just fine.

Small chipper for small jobs
Had to remove 3 massive rhododendrons, I really pushed this hard and it ran with only 1 minor issue and that is it jammed but I'm guessing that was user error not the machine. This chipper is small and works great on small items around the yard. It's not made for massive limbs and branches. Use as advertised and you shouldn't have any issues.

Excellent for Bamboo
Instead of working on tree branches which kicks a bit, it works the best for bamboo at or lesser than 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Very impressive on how smooth the engine worked and how little gas it consumed for continuously running at maximum for 1.5 hours. Again, highly recommend for dried bamboo.

Engine Did Not Start...Do Not Buy
I bought the item in December 2024 and got around to opening the package in February 2025. I added the recommended engine oil and gas and tried to start the engine, but the engine did not start. Realizing the return policy was most likely over I attempted to troubleshoot the reason why it would not start. I checked for spark ( The spark plug had plenty of spark) , I checked for fuel ( I confirmed that fuel was getting into the cylinder) , and finally I checked for compression ( engine had adequate compression ). Then I replaced the fuel to see if I had bad fuel, yet the engine still did not startUnfortunately, now I have to go down many rabbit holes to figure out why a brand new engine will not start.I do not recommend this product to anyone, and would not recommend this product. Buy at your own risk!

It chips OK
Never write reviews but wanted to let folks know.I've had this chipper about 1 month. Used it 4/5 times. Assembly was pretty easy. 20 minutes or so.Starts easily, and runs well.OK.... The con's. You are not going to chip anything over 1 1/4" and even that is tough. Anything bigger than that and the machine bogs down FAST and tips back so hopper is on ground. So that could be a problem if you are not paying attention. Chipping branches 1" and smaller the machine works pretty well. If you are not chipping nice straight branches with small leaf cluster on end, feeding the material in is tough. I mean unless the branch is straight and perfect, you are probably going to have to use another branch and help push it through. The other problem with machine is the handle. It is incorporated in the top of hopper, and it's really low. So to move machine you have to bend over to tilt chipper and role it. It is not a great set up.I fixed this problem easily by attaching a couple pieces of tube aluminum outside each side of hopper, sticking up another 2' or so.

Does what it's supposed to do!
I'm very happy with this chipper! Today was the first day I've used it and it did exactly what I needed it to do, including 3" branches.I topped around 15 to 20 trees in my backyard and needed a chipper for the clean up afterwards. I researched several chippers through reviews, videos, forums, etc. And came to the same conclusion that all chippers that says can handle up to 3" branches isn't necessarily true... so I thought!? I'll get back to this in just a moment. The box arrived in good shape. The instruction booklet was easy to follow putting it together. I took note from another reviewer that mentioned not to tighten the bolts down super hard as he had one snap off. It took all of 20 minutes to put it together. The only problem I had is that it was missing one bolt. I determined it fell out of the box during shipping as I found the washers in the box. This was NOT a seller forgetting to put the necessary parts in the box.It fired right up with no problems. I started feeding it with smaller branches and gradually worked up to larger branches. When I got to the 3" branches, I took another approach (based on what I didn't see in the reviews) and trimmed most of the smaller branches that was hanging off of it. From the reviews I read and watched on YouTube, most people was frustrated with the larger branches bogging it down and stopping the motor, or by jamming the chipper blades and having to unjam it.By trimming the smaller branches off the main stock it fit better through the small feeder hole where the blades are. I also hand fed the 3" branches by allowing only 6" to 10" at a time to be chipped, which in turn allowed the engine to catch up in between hand feeds. Yes it was a slower process, but not once did I have to restart the engine or unjam the blades. Finally thoughts; for the money, it's worth it if you have patience to feed the larger branches slowly with a little trimming here and there. I did look at the larger chippers the would do 4" to 6" branches (so they say), but didn't want to spend 4 or 5k for something that will see use maybe 3 or 4 times a year.I'll update my review if anything changes.Hope this helps!
