Absolute game changer!! This product is amazing, regardless of its exceptional price point!! I so glad I didn't order ‘fancier’ more expensive brand. This was so easy to cut with scissors and to shape then apply. I had rollers to work it in to place. By hand was possible. And its pretty. Even thought I don't see it. I used this to treat my VW Tiguan doors during an after market speaker install. Holy tight bass and punchy mid’s. It’s amazing how different my car stereo sounds. Its also reduced drive noise as a bonus. Oh, and damn it stick's in place!! I used this to pin down cross-overs and wires that i added. They’re going no where!! All wrapped up like a bug in a rug!! Super effective!! A must for acoustic treatment!!! 6 stars!!!

Great product, independent reviews had this performing as well as the best in class for way cheaper. Nice thick material, very sticky, and the difference in sound was huge. I have big 4x4 tires and this really quieted the road noise down. I live in Florida so I have no idea if it helps with heat since I'm always running the A/C at full blast anyway. Went on easily just be prepared for a lot detailed labor. take your time and make sure it gets good contact adhesion. One box covered my crew cab. I bought the metal roller kit to apply it definitely recommend these too. I had no issues with smell as some report with other brands.

I wasn’t expecting much, but the Amazon Basics car sound deadening mat works surprisingly well. Easy to cut and install, it noticeably reduces road and engine noise in my vehicle. Affordable, effective, and a great option if you want a simple way to quiet your ride without breaking the bank.

Yeah amazon basics strikes again. This is the best bang for your buck. Pros: Cheap, but doesn't feel cheap. It has a great adhesive. Feels quality, has manageable size, no smell, easy to cut/install. Has stayed on, not coming off. It definetly deadens, works well. Cons: the metal kinda gets sharp when cutting, but just be careful. a litle dificult to work with, but thats normal. You need a roller for proper instalation (makes your life so much easier).

Before I start, make sure to buy a roller, a good quality roller, they have amazing kits that now come with different sized rollers, trust me, invest in those because I assure you, you will end up using them for something else down the line! I have been using sound deadening material for a very long time, even before it became a very big thing. I have sound proofed many cars from BMW, to my beautiful Acura Legend LS coupe that I miss so much, to my now Ford Explorer 2013 Limited. Now, I've been accustomed to using the more expensive brands, however, those are double to triple the price. Now, are these better than those? No! But it truly depends on the car you have! I won't use these on a very expensive car! Makes no sense to use these on a brand new car as well, because for something like that, you want to go all out. Now, in truth, for the price of the more expensive name brand, you can buy 2 to 3 of these, and In truth you get more than just a bang for your buck! If you have a day, some beer, maybe a BBQ, a wife or girlfriend that is out for the day, take your time and hit every spot that is metal within your car with this. I first started with the rear of my explorer, I removed the spare, the carpet and just started dropping these in, use your roller and take your time to roll it and spread it out, for these you will not need to heat it up before using the roller, but just take your time. I removed the sub woofer box, and placed some behind it ... I will give you some advice, if you ever had planned to change out the speakers, this is a perfect time to do it! I then removed the rear door panels and placed these inside of the door, and also on the outer layer of metal, most people only do the outer metal part and not deep inside, do both, you will thank me later trust me, it took me longer because I have large hands that only women can love, but not the right hands to try to get into every area that is small and tiny! If you really do have the time, take the seats out and remove the carpet and do the floor, and if you are lucky enough to not have a sun roof, remove that top and do the inner roof metal, front doors and then go to the hood, and remove the sound barrier of the hood, stick this on, put that barrier back on, and boom, you are all freaking welcome.... You will not only notice that it has help with road noise, you will see that the AC and heat will start to feel better as this will also help with retaining the cold and heat. The only problem now, and unfortunately this isn't part of the warranty, you can no longer use the road noise as an excuse to not hear your spouse any longer..... But hey, you will still thank me This installs very easy, it has the perfect thickness to keep enough sound out.... it will be an all day thing, but when that bass hits harder, forget about it....

This stuff is great. It is easy to work with, adheres very well, has no residual smell and really deadens sound and damps vibration. I applied this in a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and was very impressed in how it improved the sound with the newly installed speakers that replaced the blown Infinity speakers that came with the car I applied it to as much of every inner door surface that I could and next plan to install it on the firewall, under the rug and roof liner as she seems to hear a lot of road and engine noise. I can't imagine the more expensive stuff being much better and if I need more deadening I could just add a second layer. Highly recommended.

Probably some of the best sound deadner available for the money on Amazon, sticks extremely well and works wonderful. Just make sure that your prep is there and wipe all of your surfaces down with a degreaser and alcohol. Grab yourself a nice steel application roll and you’re ready to go.
