I bought this lock to put on my bookbag purse. I set a code on the lock and everything worked fine. However when I took the lock off and stored it in my bag somehow the lock managed to set the code to different numbers without me knowing. This caused a problem for me when i put the lock back in and then tried to open it again. I had to rip my zipper off to get my bag to open :( this lock is not very reliable

I bought these for a Girl Scout Lock box challenge so the quality of the lock really didn't matter. I wouldn't trust valuable to this since it would be fairly easy to pop, however, for my purposes they were perfect.There were no instructions included on how to change the combination lock, but it was pretty easy to figure out (align combination to 000, open lock, use a sharp object (I used a pen) to depress button, change combo and lock lock). But might have had a challenge if I hadn't had directions from other style locks purchased for the Lock box challenge.These were affordable and met my needs.

I needed these for an escape room activity I put together for a youth group. For that purpose these worked great. It is a tad awkward to hold the little black button in with a pen while changing the code, but after a few tries it got done. I definitely echo the suggestions of others that you wouldn’t want these to guard something really valuable, but for a briefcase or backpack it’ll work just fine.The only reason I took off a star was because I order the pink/blue/black set and I received pink/blue/red. Mildly irritating as I wanted the black, and expected to receive what I bought, but whatevs.

This lock, day 2 would not open with my preset combo. I tested it multiple times before putting it on a trunk. 48 hours later, after opening it successfully once, had to cut it off. Buyer beware....

These locks are small and work as needed. The only issue is the numbers are a little hard to read. Must be in the right light at the right angle.
