Looks amazing, lets be honest, thats why you spent all this money! Its good quality toaster, the settings work as expected and my bread is toasted evenly on both sides.

Bought this as I already had the kettle and was waiting for my old toaster to die before getting this one. Sage products are a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. They are very sturdy and worth the price. I think they look good too.

The toaster is beautifully designed and built (I absolutely love its retro look), makes various kinds of toasts well, and Amazon's customer service was flawless.

Not a cheap toaster but we are very pleased with its look, it’s extra toasting options and it is happily very good at toasting brown bread.

My old, cheap supermarket model conked out before Christmas. Having got sick of the fact that it didn't brown evenly and I was constantly having to rotate and flip slices, I decided to invest in something that should have been more effective. Believe me, I read the reviews for loads of different makes and models. Eventually I settled on this one. Nearly 10 times more expensive than my previous toaster but I hoped it would toast all the way through and not conk out within a year. Disappointed doesn't do justice to my response! OK, it looks good on the counter but I didn't want an ornament. It won't take a full slice of a boule and when I slice them in half vertically I can't get them out of the slots without tongs. The elements don't heat evenly and so I'm left with untoasted sections in the middle of the slices and, if I don't flip the slices upside down half way through toasting, the bottom or side of each slice is still uncooked. Good that it has a dial to select different types of bread. Don't bother with the crumpet option (which is apparently also for slit muffins) - it's useless. Crumpets come out undercooked and flabby, muffins come out burned. Bad buy on my part and if it were not for the fact that I'd spilled something all over its empty box before I put it away I'd have sent it back. Won't buy a Sage brand appliance again.
