Works great. Even came with a print out of the test results. No longer need to carry extra battery's . The price was a lot cheaper than local parts store even with my discount, and no core charge . My local guy wanted $40 core and then the times and gas to return. These alternators are not that common. Most alternators regulate the field to ground negative. This one regulates the field positive and is internally grounded. This makes testing different ,as you can't just ground the field like you can with with most alternators. I gave someone a jump start who had wiring issues, fried alternator and because the computer controls the alternator had to replace that too. Being a nice guy can get a little expensive. I think if I ever give a jump start again I will just hook up to battery and not start engine. I don't know if that would have helped. Better to just avoid jump starting to be safe. I am happy with my purchase and would buy again .

I bought this alternator as a replacement for one that had gone bad on my Daughters 2008 Chrysler Aspen. The old one was a pain to remove but this one fit like a glove. This alternator seems to be working at or beyond the original. I looked at another site for this alternator and found it somewhat cheaper but decided this one would be a better replacement. I wondered about the quality of the cheaper one. It arrived on time and I am very happy with it. So is my Daughter.

Replaced the OEM alternator after 75000 kms due to a progressively louder bearing noise coming from the original. Engine runs much quieter and smoother just like new. I would definitly recommend this product if your RAM 1500 alternator is making noise or not charging the battery properly. I upgraded to the 160amp model to handle the extra electrical load from RV trailer lights, brakes and accessories. Easy to replace.
