My blind wife loves it
My wife is a Braille reader and loves to write in Braille. This is a big one for one big sheet of paper. She puts in a big sheet and keeps it by her chair. It is handy to take notes, shopping lists and phone numbers.

Dot punches
I still don’t under stand what the edging braille letters mean. Some of the dot punches did not form firmly so I had to go back over them afterwards. But I made a cheat sheet for myself so I know how to punch the letters to make notes for my friend. Over all it’s nice to be able to write a big letter and sentences rather then small words, where you have to move your page every time for the next word to fit in the grid.

Works great
I work with disabled teenage orphans in China. One of my students was blind, but had never been taught braille (Chinese or English), so I purchased some braille items in the States to take back and start teaching her. This was one of them. The staff at her foster home eventually (after a lot of coaxing) began working with her and teaching her Chinese braille. They loved this stylus. They apparently tried to find some other styluses afterwards, as they wanted more than one, but couldn't find anything that worked nearly as well on the internet in China. They wound up asking me to buy another in the States.

Amazing Braille Slate
I bought this slate to be able to communicate with several of my blind friends. The slate has worked amazing, and has been relatively easy to use. The only difficult part is that you have to write each letter backward form left to write so that they can read it on the other side.

Great, but tricky writing backwards
Love this. It is very well made and came with two punches.Only downside to writing braille without a braille typewriter is that you need to write on this knowing that it should be written backwards because the dots will be read with the punches upward.
