Doesn’t work very well, I would not recommend.

A lot of bad reviews can be attributed to user error and not reading item description or the instructions that were delivered with the ashtray. For the record, most of the instructions are Asian, but there are English translations there too - you just have to LOOK. The ashtray itself is nice - there's a deep bowl that can fit a lot inside, and it's heavy so it won't blow away on windy days. The "match" is pretty flawed. You can get it to work, but there's quite a bit involved. You need to add some type of lighter fluid into the tiny matchstick hole. They specifically recommend kerosene (I didn't even know that still existed), but any liquid lighter fluid will do. I used the same can of fluid I use for my Zippo lighter. It's extremely difficult to aim the lighter fluid directly into the VERY tiny hole. You will definitely spill more than you get in, so have a paper towel or cloth handy for clean up. Then, when you put the match back into the hole to soak in the fluid, it will overflow and you'll have to clean up again. Then you have to hold the match at EXACTLY 45 degrees and run it along the striker. The match will not light. The striker will light, and you'll have to be quick to light the match from the flame on the striker. You ONLY GET ONE MATCH STRIKE BEFORE YOU HAVE TO FILL AGAIN. Then you have to start the whole process over. As a novelty it's cool, but functionally it's ridiculous. The whole process takes at least a couple minutes for ONE strike of the match. A lighter is immediate. Even a normal match is better. I bought this to keep outside so that when I forget my lighter I don't have to trudge back inside and upstairs. I'm going to keep it for these situations, and hope I don't need to use the match more than once in a sitting.;)

It's a good product for the price. Just know it will melt if it catches fire.

Wish I knew to get lighter fluid before gifting it without. Heavy metal

Great concept but to lite or no grip on the table to strike without using 2 hands. One miss strike with the match and you scratch through the fake chrome on top.

I see lots of interesting reviews here. If you Do not overfill the lighter fluid chamber you will be just fine. Let the wick soak for a little bit and strike up your match. Blow out. It's pretty cool. Thx.

Il faut le faire a plusieurs fois ça ne fonctionne pas dès la première fois ce qui est pas très pratique mais bon ça fonctionne quand même mais le gaz pour briquet ne viens pas avec et sais pas indiquer sur la photo j'ai du regarder chez un autre vendeur qui en vend aussi pour remarquer il fallait mettre du gaz a briquet en liquide con achète pour le zippo trouve ça vrm mal informer sur les accessoires qui viens avec le produit

Nice ashtray but the lighter part of it is a joke.

When you have nothing to light your smoke then you have to light right there in the ashtray. It took a bit before using it because I had to buy the lighter fuel separately. It great to have and convenient. I have had all too many times where my lighter die on me in the middle of the night and I have no match’s so the convenience of the lighter built into the ashtray is extremely convenient. Lol
