Q: How durable are they? Can the threads be pulled out easily?

We haven't really used them. They weren't really what I was expecting. I was hoping they would be less conspicuous but is kind of hard since they look like a wash cloth around the neck. They are ideal for one student at the high school who sticks the whole wash cloth into his mouth. I haven't had a chance to send them on to the HS so I do not know the durability. They appear not to fray. Hopefully this will help you.

Q: Can this be used with braces?

I feel they could. It is Terry cloth and they did not appear to snag.

Q: Are the fabric dyes used non toxic?

I am assuming so. My grandson has used them for over a year and I just got another set and he has used them with no problem.
