How big are the chairs?  (Dimension from ground to top of SEAT please.... to compare to child's leg size!)

The chair height is 11 inches. Our nearly three year old granddaughter measures 10.5 inches to the center of her knee and the slightly younger one measures 9.5 inches. They both sit comfortably on the chairs and at the table.

Could setbe used for outdoor use

I think if you keep it under a awning or outdoor porch it would be fine.  I would not exposed to constant rain or sun!  It very sturdy My chairs have been reattached and repainted but it’s 7 years old

Are chairs sturdy or do they tip easily?

We have had our set for almost two years and it has been subjected to all the abuse a 2-year-old, a 4-year old, a 6-year-old, a number of teenagers and some adults can imagine and still looks near new. The only time the chairs have tipped over is when someone, usually my husband, is leaning back on two legs or standing on the chairs and leaning over the back. The only ding is on the table and a two inch piece broke off when the children stacked all the chairs up and then tried to balance the table on top of it. We glued the piece back on and you can't tell where it was broken and the children were sternly told not to play circus with their table. I kept the hex key used to put the set together and regularly, about every couple of months, try to tighten all the screws. Usually only a few screws on the chair legs need tightened and I'm sure that is from the rough play they have endured. I would purchase this item again and tell everyone that it is the best investment you can make. Tea time with my grandson and the three bears, priceless.
