Oh what a perfect find for anxiety for our 17 lb Cairn Terrier. I am a volunteer rescuer and have had and seen a lot of horrific things. All of which are trying to work through issues of fear and finding loving human touch.Ripster is a rescue we took in that we found emaciated and literally living on acorns. He was found at our mountain place in a horrible storm. People on the mountain had seen him wandering around for months but no one had taken him in. Well we did !!!! and he is thriving beautifully. However, even a dark cloud and he starts shaking, pacing, panting and drooling. In the car he is the same way. I’ve been using Benadryl in storms and long rides to get him through. It works great but he’s 13 now and it just wipes him out plus takes about 20 mi utes to get in his system.I found these chews on Amazon and wanted to give them a try, has Melatonin in them. They are absolutely going to be my go to for any Nd all my Furbabies going forward. He loves the taste, they start working in about 5 minutes and he chills right out. Best of all no hang over and sleeping for 2 days like with the. Benadryl and I don’t have to worry about him getting g too much

Well, it takes a while to take effect and I'm guessing at the grams needed for a tablet size. Mine came all pressed up and loose like grass. I might really like it if I could get a package that wasn't all crumbs. I shouldn't have to measure with a gram meter to determine how much I can use for my Yorkie. It does lessen the drama for bathing, brushing etc. but afraid to give too much to her. If you can send me another package that IS IN TABLET form, I would love to try it again so there's no measuring involved...don't like guessing for my Gigi.

I bought these for my dog to aid in separation anxiety and to hopefully calm him some when company arrives. I had to force him to eat his dosage because he clearly did not approve of the taste. (If you can't order your dog to eat something they dont want then don't even try. It's not going to happen). I gave him his dose about an hour before a friend arrived that comes over on an regular basis. Before she arrived I walked my dog for a out a half hour, gave him plenty of water and then waited. Nothing. He didn't nap. He didn't do anything different. When the friend arrived I hoped maybe he would be at least a bit less excited than normal.... Nope. Ok then, maybe instead of being annoying to her and me correcting him for his usual hour or so maybe it will cut his time down to 45 min. NOPE? NOTHING! waste of money and my dog clearly would rather eat his own backyard deposits. Dont waste your money on this hippie organic bs scam unless your doggo has been bad and you want to punish him with a disgusting treat!

Works like a charm on my Cavapoo! Oliver still has a great deal of energy but it is tempered to a point of measured chaos, which I love! We play quite a bit and he gets tons of exercise but his hyperactivity is toned to a mild roar! Too cute!!!

They don't really have a scent so it's hard to tell what "flavor" they may have BUT my dogs enjoy them; they gobble them up. As far as the calming effect, it's hard to gauge. My German Sheppard is unphased but he's a mutant as far as chaotic energy is concerned. He sprints for 30 minutes at a time when chasing a ball. He'll "relax" for about an hour (maybe). Then he wants to go back at it for another 30 minutes. He's four, and he still has zero chill. I gave him the recommended amount, nothing. I added one, nothing. I did this over two weeks, until I got to double the dose for his size... mildly, maybe, some affect. He will take a little bit of a longer nap but he's right back on crazy when he wakes up.One of my huskies is a nervous sort. I give her the recommended dose and she calmly collects her stuffed squeaky toys and relaxes in bed for most of the day. She's still playful but not upset or neurotic in behavior. Her sister just gets one "for show" as to not feel left out. She's the only calm one of the group. My findings are: If your dog has an insane amount of energy, don't bother with these, just let them get as much exercise as they want/need. Maybe a dose before bed will keep them relaxed through the night and maybe you'll get to sleep in a little. maybe. If you've got a little nervous one, it really seems to help!

I have a 55-60 lb Amstaff/pitbull mix. He's a somewhat anxious guy, i was looking for a cheaper alternative to the melatonin treats we had before to calm him down before walks. This product did little to nothing for him. I noticed a drastic difference between this product and the Zesty Paws melatonin behavior treats. I even attempted to add an extra treat onto his dose and I noticed zero changes. This might work for smaller dogs or dogs with less behavioral issues but if you want a supplement to help with anxiety/reactivity this isn't it! He didn't like them at first, would pick them out of his food, but if you decide to buy it's easier to smush it into their wet food. They're also very soft and the last 5 or so treats will probably be powder by the time you're nearing close to the end of the bag.I recommend looking into treats that have a comfortable dose of melatonin if you're using this as a behavioral supplement. I left stars because I like the concept of this treat and my dog might simply just have more of a tolerance due to his previous treats.

These are amazing! My very picky Schnauzer ate it right away and they work wonders! He broke his hip and heel and needed surgery, the vet sent us home with narco and tranquilizers which I gave him for a few days but hated the way they made him feel so I came to amazon for a healthier alternative since he'll be healing for 6 weeks. I gave him 1 chew he's a lil over 13lbs and after 30 min he was laying down relaxed and out cold within an hour. Per the package I can give him 2 a day which is how much trazadone they recommend so I can completely swap them out!! So happy with this buy just wish they came in a bigger size, 2 a day means we'll run out in 12 days even at 1 a day they won't last a month.
