Working
I first got a inguinal hernia in the mid 1970’s. For whatever the reason back then, just rested and it went away. I had forgotten about it, and in the 1980’s had a very physical job with lots of exertion. No hernia or sign of it. Then starting in the latter 80’s, started going to the gym and used free weights on regular basis for decades. No issues with hernia until 2022 when it reappeared out of nowhere. Then I remembered I had it way back when. It isn’t a very large bulge, and doesn’t hurt. Doctor said not to worry unless something changes. I asked about a truss and he said I could try one. Wanted to get the Uriel as I read great things about it. But not available in my size. Somewhere along the way clicking and reading saw something about the Flexamed being a newer version of - I believe - the Uriel. At any rate, purchased a small and medium. The small is the one I use the most. I’m small…33” measurement around hips. But the medium also works for me. After finally figuring out the leg strap (bring it under and then straight up through the belt/truss…works very well. It’s comfortable..well..considering..but seems to work keeping things in place. I still work out and cycle and do yoga and other exercise regularly.. Sometimes I use this during workouts, sometimes not. Rarely if ever sleep with it on. Would still like to compare to the Uriel if it’s ever available again. But would recommend giving this one a go. There are others that look good too, but some have a very large pad which I don’t think would work well for me. The pad on this is just enough to put ample pressure where needed.

Make sure you do your research before you buy.
For the most part, the product was so-so. When it arrived, I bent down to pick up the package off the ground. I know you can't judge the book by its cover, and that dynamite comes in small packages. It arrived in a little, flimsy, beautifully illustrated extremely thin cardboard box approx. 6"x6"x2" thick that has a very high gloss finish to it. Along with instructions clearly printed on the backside of the box; that hardly weighs anything. My first impression was, I got ripped off! But like I said, you can't judge the book by its cover. Upon opening it, (though it hardly weighed anything), to be honest with you, it is of quality. Upon trying it on ("without") connecting the strap, it felt good; and it really did help with the hernia that was protruding and it did help with the pain, and discomfort. But to be honest with you, I purchased this item because Amazon rated it as their choice though it only had a little over 1700 likes. I may end up purchasing another one soon from another brand/Company that has a little bit over 5800 likes that's also rated #1 which I think may be better. The only, only, reason why I wasn't 100% totally satisfied with this particular item, was, because it's poorly designed. Perhaps it's because it's designed too close to the competition;for US patent purposes. My version of the belt is designed for having a hernia on my right hand side. The strap that comes with it is unlike the competitions it starts below the triangle piece in the front, and goes through your legs and come out the back end and could only be attached in an awkward uncomfortable way on the belt on the right hand side of the belt through a loop and attaches with velcro. But the problem is: that the velcro piece that attaches the velcro together, is inside the of the belts loop. that you slip it through, the velcro piece that you need is sewn on the opposite side; therefore, it becomes twisted instead of laying flat. It's extremely uncomfortable because the strap is twisted. Unlike the competition where it starts from the back of the belt goes through your legs in the front, and attaches to a little clip/buckle in the front which allows you to tighten it should you need to. You can't do this with the one that I have; it's the opposite. And not only is it the opposite, it doesn't come with a clip/buckle so that you can tighten it and attach it to. The strap is uncomfortable to wear because It could only be worn twisted. This was not explained prior to me purchasing it. I don't know if this is a defected one that they wanted to hurry up and get rid of it as soon as possible.Otherwise, I would have given it 10 Stars

Definitely a hernia helper
I used the support every day. It’s of good quality and very easy to use. Pay attention to the providers advice for sizing. I bought the medium size as I was right on the threshold of medium size or larger. I used the medium size for a few days and it was very cumbersome to use, so I ordered the large size and it worked perfectly. No overstretching or pinching. I did not bother to return the first one for obvious reasons. If you are on the borderline of sizes, go with the next one up.

Not good an "in between" waist
As I lost weight, I got down to about a 38" waist. The large belt I had was no longer fitting well, so I ordered the small--but the small didn't even come close! Measuring them, I could see that the belt was just slightly longer than the maximum waist size it was designed to cover. So the small never could work. But with the large version wrapped that tightly, the wasn't enough overlaps in the velcro for the belt to hold well.I also had to make foam inserts of my own, as well. The ones that came with the belt were so small that they kept moving around, away from where I needed them. Once I cut foam pieces to fit, the belt worked pretty well -- until the amount of velcro became insufficient for the belt length I was using.

Relief at least
Let’s start with the obvious. This isn’t as comfortable as a pair of silk boxers. But, given what it is, it is comfortable enough to wear all day. I wear it over my underwear and under my clothes. That works for me. I had to learn to not get the leg strap too tight. That caused some chaffing, but once I loosened the leg strap just a bit, it was fine. It does what it is supposed to do. I can walk, and even do moderate exercise, while wearing this without pain. One word on ordering: I ordered a medium and it worked for me. However, be sure you measure you HIP size, not your waist size, because the large belt goes around your hips. Once you have it fitted for you, getting this on and taking it off is an easy process. For the comfort it brings, I am very glad to have it.
