Very effective cleaning gumline. Excellent for smaller mouths.
Oral-B CrossAction, Soft. This toothbrush is my go-to toothbrush. The angled bristles along the sides and the bunch of bristles at the tip effectively clean my teeth, gum line, and hard-to-reach places. A few years ago I switched to using this toothbrush when my (expensive) electric toothbrush bit the dust. My dentist claims he can't tell the difference and no longer tells me to get another fancy electric toothbrush. One of this toothbrush's most important features is the smaller, more streamlined head. "Bigger is not better," and "less is more." The streamlined head fits much better in hard-to-reach places such as in the back of my mouth. Soft bristles are easy on my gums.Handle is very comfortable to hold. Well contoured and with non-slip rubber. Size fits easily into my travel bag.I'll be buying a supply of these in case the compact head is in short supply.

Not quite as pictured.
The packaging is the same, with the same number (91172310) in the lower-right corner of the front label (though on the back it has 91172309), but there's one fewer set of bristles. The photo shows five blue+white sets of upward-leaning bristles and five pink+blue sets of downward-leaning.The toothbrushes I had before of this design had the same number of rows of bristles as pictured, but the brushes I was shipped have only four sets of each bristle type, for a shorter brush head overall. Given the identical packaging, I'd say this is either a design change or a manufacturer error. Has anyone else noticed the same?

It's a familiar and clean feeling, but takes a bit to get used to it.
This particular type of toothbrush has been my favorite for several years now, the top bristles are the best to reach that spot at the far end of the mouth behind the molars, where food and plaque may remain. While it says "soft" it does take a little use to soften it, so be gentle with your gums, do not put too much force on your brushing to avoid getting sore gums.My only con so far, the picture of the product is misleading, it shows the older model that has 5 rows of bristles, which was the best in my opinion, but the delivered product has only 4 rows of bristles. You can see in the image the promo image, my current toothbrush above the new one.I really was hoping to get the 5-row one as per the images, unfortunately will have to make do with the 4-row ones.PS. Sensodyne toothpaste and these brushes do give you a nice massage on the gums.

Product is not as pictured: not the full size toothbrush head !
This is not the full-size Oral B Superior Clean toothbrush. The brush head is a compact size: instead of the normal 5 rows of bristles pictured, the brush head has only 4 rows of bristles. Everything else about the brush construction is identical, but nothing on Amazon's website or product packaging warns you that you're getting a different product. Proctor & Gamble customer service verified that these brushes are probably the smaller promotional toothbrushes your dentist hands out when you go for a cleaning. Disappointed.

Perfect for reaching your back/wisdom teeth
I re-ordered this item because it's my favorite toothbrush. The picture shows what it looks like (still in the package) alongside my used toothbrush for comparison. If you look closely and count the number of blue bristles, you'll find that the one in the package is missing a set. I don't know what happened there. I'm still going to use it, even thought it's shorter, because it gets the job done.
