Think Gizmos Multi Function Weather Station with 2 Outdoor Sensors, Thermometer, Alarm Clock, Weather Forecaster, Moon Phase Display, Colour Display and USB Charging Port

Review after 1 week:After lots of careful research, a spreadsheet, far too much time on the internet, & sending a similar brand back (Newentor - it wasnt accurate), I went for Think Gizmo. Very pleased. I've read reviews that it's hard to read if you have it above your eyes (e.g. on a shelf). True. But if on a desk or at eye level, or to the side - perfect.Accuracy - good. Tested the temp readings of main unit & the remote sensors against my old unit & it matched (within 0.2 degrees). I set the pressure reading on this unit using BBC data & one week later it was tracking accurately. This also meant the weather forecast feature is accurate too.Features: not having MSF (radio synched clock/date) was high on my list, as I have the unit near a computer monitor (interferes with MSF). This unit has to be set manually for time/date, which was easy & is of course very accurate, So the MSF feature is a bit of a gimmick to me anyway. And you can set the barometric pressure manually (a lot of brands don't let you do this so you can never get them accurate). So far so good - once it's set up you won't need to readjust it.Comparison to the Newentor (returned unit): You can't set barometric pressure on Newentor so if it is inaccurate out the box the forecast will aslso be inaccurate. I only had it a day so to be fair, it may have needed time to bed in. Newentor only has 1 remote sensor, which is all I wanted, but when Think Gizmos give you two.... nice. Newentor has the MSF which receives radio signal from your local mast every 24 hrs. This keeps your unit time & date correct. You can also set the time & date manually (but not the barometric pressure). But if your unit isn't able to get MSF signal (like mine) the automated process of the unit reaching out to local mast every 24 hrs knocks out the manually set time. So it's never going to hold the right time/date unless you reset it every day. And that means the phases of the moon will always be inaccurate (needs the right date). And the Newentor temp readings were not as accurate as Think Gizmo weather station (from my non-scientific comparison).I rarely return anything to Anazon, but I glad I swapped the Newentor for this Think Gizmo. I rarely leave reviews for anything but when you get something that exceeds your expectations... time to help others out like you

I really like this weather gadget. although the range on the outside sensors is not great. Line of sight is about 3 metres, no more than that.

Bought as a prez for christmas. Dad checks it everyday lol, most of us use a window, but old people love things like this. easy to set up and very easy to read. would recomend

Did what it’s supposed to do easy setup ❤️

The instrument is now up and running, and performing well. However, what a puzzle to get there. It comes with two temperature transmitters, one black and one white. One for inside and one for outdoors you might think, but which is which? No clues in the instructions. Switched on and it seems to be measuring the room temperature from a sensor inside the display unit. Closer inspection of the two transmitters reveals channel switches, what do they do? No clues in the instructions. Trying to pair with the switches untouched and the black transmitter seems to work as the outdoor sensor, good result! But what does the white transmitter do? My best guess is it just sits in the “don’t know what this is” drawer in the kitchen.

I like this device. However, a lot of the functionality isn’t clearly explained in the manual. With a bit of playing about and trial and error you can work out what it should be doing and how it displays using the 2/3 sensors. Once you crack that it’s a nice product.

Easy to read & understand

Very pleased with this product which is replacing an Oregon model where the outdoor sensor had ceased to work. ( the second such incidentally). This station can be run from a socket with supplied cable, if desired, when the display is constantly illuminated. When used on batteries only display shuts down after short period. Easy to set up initially and seems to be accurate.Update 7/3/23. Indoor display is showing outside temperatures which are totally erroneous eg today temperature outside is 5.6 degrees ( as displayed on outside sensor) which is correct but internal display showing 18*. Sometimes shows temperatures of 24* when outside about 8*. What is annoying is that the vendor has not replied to an email sent asking for a solution. The indoor machine is on mains not battery.

I requested feedback as to whether the clock is supposed to blank out after a few seconds, have yet to receive a reply. Otherwise the clock works fine - Not Atomic timepiece, so obviously will have to be reset occasionally, also doesn't seem to offer a DST setting.
