Cheapest of its kind - quality of ALL such cables (no matter cost) is the same!!!
Costs way less than some other brands that pretend the gold plating or other nonsense will matter at all - it won't - this is very affordable, likely arrives fast, and will look no better or worse than units that do the same thing but cost 3x's as much. Were talking SNES and CRT's here - unless you are going PVA or something and needed Component (which Snes doesnt natively do anyway), then you dont need more than the cheapest SNES->S-Video output you can find - buy two if you want to just-in-case, I suppose.

Great Quality
Makes N64 quality look awesome, hooked it to a HDMI upscaller and it was perfect on a new LED TV

Solid Picture Quality for the Price
Probably the best third-party S-Video cable you can get on a budget. I've got an OG Nintendo one, and the difference isn't that big. There is a faint pattern of diagonal lines in the video output, but for the money it's a great choice for getting higher video quality for your consoles on the cheap.

CRT
crt quality is very good. It does not have any s video checker boarding and after using for a year the quality is good for the price.

A Real Gamble
I rated this two stars (it should have been one-and-a-half) for this sole reason: if you’re going to be playing N64 through S-Video, buy it at your own risk! You are going to be getting either crisp, crystal clear visuals akin to the Official Nintendo-Branded S-Video Cable, or a checkerboarded mess. I ordered two—one for my girlfriend & I’s N64 I bought for our anniversary from a Yard Sale, and another for a friend. To save you the trouble, the one my girlfriend got worked as it should; unfortunately, the one I got for my friend wasn’t so much the same—her’s came out as that infamously checkerboarded mess. My question goes out to the seller, and their questionable Quality Control. Do these cables EVER get properly tested before they are sold?Bottom line: stick to the Official Nintendo-Brands. Yes, they can cost more, but its one of the more better options of getting proper game footage from the Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, or (maybe) GameCube onto a DVD Recorder. Every third-party aftermarket seller of S-Video cables should HAVE Quality Control—stop cheaping out, and think more about your customers who want to give Nintendo Consoles past the Nintendo Entertainment System Top-Loader (which, bearing in mind doesn’t even support S-Video through none of the Official cables—not even these third-party ones) a satisfying alternativeIf there IS any testing of any kind, outside Mid-90’s to HD CRT’s... why not also on other displays that actually SUPPORT S-Video?

A must for CRT TVs with S-Video
No frills cable does exactly as advertised. I am using this with my Nintendo 64 connected to my CRT TV and the image is bright, crisp (especially with text/UI elements) and noise free. Audio is clear too. Build of the cable itself is a bit flimsy, but if it's not routed and bent at extreme angles I don't expect it failing anytime soon. A must buy to get the best visuals you can get out of the old systems and for less than $10, especially if your TV supports S-Video.
