It grows but not so fast

I wanted to wait until the grass had a chance to grow before leaving my review, and I’m very pleased! The germination rate was quick, the grass came in thick and healthy, and it’s already looking great in my yard. In the picture you can clearly see the 2-foot radius where it was planted, and it’s extremely healthy grass. So healthy and thick that even when mowed at 1.75” you can see the cat prints walking through it! Easy to plant, grows strong, and definitely worth it. Highly recommend if you want reliable results! This location gets direct sunlight the second half of the day which I was a little nervous about not being able to water it super consistently, but no problems with the heat!

Use the Rapid grass in Spring (NorCal, ~80F), watering twice a day. Got about 50% coverage as the photo, after 4 weeks. Some areas filled in well, others stays patchy. Will definitely try again in the fall.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars. This is now my seventh time trying this grass seed with the same results… It all dies. It will grow very quickly but then as soon as the temperature is above 80°F, even with the proper water, the grass turns brown. I have been planting grass seed for over 20 years and I have never had this issue before. I now have to start completely over with topsoil, aeration, and I will not be using this seed ever again. Buyer beware. If planted in shade, you may be good to go but if you even have four hours of sunlight a day, this grass will not survive. Terrible seed.

Not as easy or rapid as I expected. Does not always take despite good watering - not sure how that happens. With good prep and a light overlay of tacky straw mulch, it should work fine.. but then you can get a less expensive grass seed or turf booster. Price not worth the "convenience" in this case - wait for a big sale.
