Game-changer / Life-saver
I work in an elementary school library, so needless to say, I have a LOT of books that need repair on a daily basis. I was basically doing what this machine does (reattaching the spine with glue), by myself with with a hot glue gun. But that is so very time consuming and I knew that my fix was only temporary. Hot glue starts to cool before you're done gluing, and it's only a matter of time before a new layer of paper peels off with the hot glue still attached. This machine combined with these glue strips fuses everything together and I feel like this fix is actually going to last! Plus, I can get an assembly line going while a book is in the machine and get another one ready, finish up another one, etc. Huge time saver. My only complaint is that the little adhesive strip on the glue strip is completely useless, I've never had one feel sticky at all and it takes forever to peel off the little foil tab. Makes my job harder, not easier. Overall, love this system!!!

Works great, you can make thicker booklets
I make notebooks using hot glue sticks (glue gun, then iron it down with a clothes iron). These strips work better. The glue in these strips is less viscous than the glue sticks so it flows better. I bought the 1/2" strips and wondered if I'd be able to use them for thinner booklets and thicker booklets. Yes. Thicker: Just butt them together. I did one manuscript with three strips. Thinner: more of an issue, just iron flat the wings. The glue spreads over the edges, so to make the 'wings' bend, I run the iron over the sides. The ends I just clip off. The strips are 10.5". (paper is 11.5 or A4 11.7") so I just lay a short strip sideways at the end. (I've found that if a sheet comes loose, it starts at the ends, so glue to the ends helps.)

I use these with my CoverOne Machine
I bought these to use with my CoverOne Book Machine. It has worked really well. The glue seems to hold just as good as the more expensive options.

Nice choice since we are makers doesn’t have any
Good choice if yo can’t get them from we r makers, as they never have any. And we r makers price point is way too high for product . This is a way better deal,

Easy to use, binds well
Works great with the thermal binding machine I bought. Though I ended up having to use an extra sliver of strip for my book, which was about 85 sheets (maybe the sheets were thicker?). Probably user error though. Takes a bit of practice to get it right. I would recommend the width of the glue strip be slightly larger than the width of the paper sheets.

Perfect heat binding!
These ThermoBind glue strips did the magic! We used them to bind more than 80 pages and our own paperback cover. The books are holding perfectly! Tips: - follow the machine instructions as well as the thermobind product instructions - find the right temperature, test the hold at various settings - let it cool off in the machine’s back tray, and then flat on a surface, before attempting to test the pages binding
