ColemanRoadTrip LX Propane Grill

This is my 2nd Coleman roadtrip grill. My first was an OCC Paul jr limited edition that I still have and use, but wanted to try this one because it looks easier to clean. Love the removable inner pan for easy clean up. Having the option to take the base off is also great. The grill and griddle plates that came with it are aluminum, but I already own cast iron and stove grates from my other Coleman.

First 3 zero problems. Except clean up. This one. The leg stand was broke but we made it wk. the regulator didn’t wk. so they are shipping ANOTHER WHOLE GRILL. So I’ll take regulator off it and the stand. Then I get to lug it to ups to ship.Plus DOES NOT COME WITH PROPANE HOSE

Great grill! Still getting use to the temperature settings as the 1st and 2nd time use we were cooking our food on the high setting. We’ll worth the purchase.

We bought this grill to use on our camper. We stay in the camper for weeks at a time and prefer to cook outdoors when we are traveling.Our grills get heavy use and need to be large enough to cook big family meals but compact enough to fit in the storage area.The grill works well, it starts easy and burners have a nice controllable uniform flame. However, the legs are pretty flimsy, it always sits on the ground sort of cadywompus and the bolted on parts such as the handle and lock is also really cheap quality.When we first fired it up we ran both burners on high for 15 minutes to burn off and manufacturing residue and it definitely had a chemical smell. The handle melted slightly and the coating burned off one of the aluminum grill plates.The grill will get very hot! I replaced grill plates with after market cast iron which fit perfectly and work great.The grill is easy to clean as it has a nice drip tray.It looks nice when it’s setup next to the trailer. It looks nicer than it actually is. When you first see it, you go WOW! But when you look close you go “cheap”Overall, it’s a cheap quality grill, that will work for camping and family outings. It folds up into a fairly compact space (fits in the storage are on our trailer). It sets up fairly quickly and easily but the legs are cheap and cumbersome.It works, it grills good, it definitely doesn’t seem like it’s something you can pull out and use on a constant basis. I worry that it will only last a year or so, but we use our grills heavily.It will cook a nice meal for a family of 4. Breakfast is easy with the griddle and will cook nice dinner meal. Roasts like prime rib would not be possible due to the lid won’t shut if food is too large or bulky.As far as I can tell, there is no alternative grills available that have the same grilling area but can fold up into this compact of a space. That was our primary need and why we purchased it. It works for us. I like it but definitely don’t love it.

I really like the coleman grill product but my only complaint would be in the product photo it was blue, and what I received was a green grill. If I din't need it that day I would have sent it back.
