Best pocket knife hands down.

this knife has become my every day carry knife. got it as a backup but it is now the primary. I like the safety lock, it hasn't tried to open while in my pocket yet. Keeps an edge very well. Easy to resharpen when it does need it.Total one hand operation from open to close.

I bought this knife back in August 2011 and after using it for over two years came back just to write how absolutely pleased I am with this product.I purchased it as an every day carry and it was my first spring assisted knife and I have only good things to say about it. For a first knife this is a must buy, you can't go wrong for the price and it holds an edge for a long time.Carrying a blade was one of the best decisions I have made and this has been useful many times. The knife itself holds up incredibly well, I have gotten it wet many times with no rust.I am glad I went with the model that had the serrated edge as this has also come in handy and stayed sharp through the years.The spring assist works great unlike some of the reviews here and has not given me any hang ups. Combined with the convenient safety on the knife it has not opened in my pocket a single time over two years of daily carry. The safety is also very easy to disengage for rapid deployment if necessary.The blade itself has a little wiggle to it after the years but considering the abuse I put it through it held up incredibly well. I can say for a fact I would recommend this knife to a friend considering I have actually recommended it to my friends as an entry-level carry.For this price, you cannot go wrong!

Bought this knife over a year ago and has been my daily carry. The blade came sharp and will stay sharp with good care. I have since sharpened it and i must say that it takes an edge as well as any knife as far as the quality of the steel is concerned. I clip this knife on my pocket and have yet to have it open in my pocket or have the clip itself fail or stretch out. The safety mechanism is easily opened with one hand and closed with one hand with the use of the leg.The most use this knife will see on a normal day is opening a shipping box or cutting the shrink wrap on a pallet. The half serration of the knife is especially useful for harder materials that may need more force or just the penetration of the teeth into the material. The combination blade in my opinion is much more useful for my purposes than that of the plain blade model that i have also had a chance to use.The spring mechanism has not showed any weakening or slow down for the amount of use that this knife has seen. I have opened and closed this knife thousands of times without failure from the spring or the locking mechanism. Still the same solid open that it had from day one.Overall i would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a solid knife that will continue to operate despite the amount of misuse or neglect.

I work in Kandahar, Afghanistan and had need for a light, general use knife. After six months of daily use I like this knife so much that I plan to buy another and one with a regular blade so that I have them when Gerber stops making them!The spring action is easy to use and quick. I did have it open in my back pocket which was because I didn't set the lock after use. It opened my pants very well! The lock is a bit stiff at first but both it and the spring action smooth out with time. I don't worry about it failing because all hinged knives have weak points and will fail under constant use. Just how long - who knows?The stainless steel blade takes a edge quickly, and goes dull just as fast - as all stainless steel blade do. I recommend you always keep a pocket sharpener with you. The serrated blade is a bit to short for many jobs such as sawing through a big box or rope, but works well for most things. I have a small tapered round sharpener to keep an edge on the serrations.The clip is getting weak from use. But it takes only a minute to remove it, bend it a bit and you're back in business. The clip even has a hole to access the blind screw.For the price you will be hard press to find a better day to day carry knife.
