I pierced both of my ears myself. Slight discomfort for 3 seconds but other than that no bleeding or soreness. Best purchase ever. And such a super easy, quick, alternative to spending $$$ at an ear piercing place.

I live in an area where it’s hard to trust where to get piercings unless you pay a lot of money. I just wanted a third ear piercing on either side to layer more earrings, so I decided to try it myself. This was super easy! If you get over the clicking sound in your ear (which isn’t loud at all), it goes in quick. I iced my ear for about two minutes to numb it a little before piercing and that definitely helped. After the first piercing, the pain went away before I even did the next ear. It’s a little tender but that’s normal. Good quality and easy to use for something so affordable! I’d definitely do it again! UPDATE 3 YEARS LATER: I never had an infection and they healed great. I left the tiny piercing in for a few months, cleaning with peroxide every night for the first few days. Just take extra good care and follow standard practices as if you got pierced anywhere else. :)

OK these are super easy to use. Super affordable. The only complaint I have is the backs are very large. For the price and short term use I will definitely purchase again.

The piercing gun itself was very easy to use, but I’m not sure about the quality of the earrings included. After just three days, mine has already started to discolor. If I were to do this again, I would probably spend a little more on a kit with higher-quality earrings. One thing to note: the instructional video from the supplier isn’t accurate. The earrings come with a plastic cover that has to be wiggled off after the piercing, which the video doesn’t show. Thankfully, I found a user video that explained it. My husband thought he had squeezed too hard and broken something when the cover didn’t come off right away—so that part was stressful. Overall, the system itself works fine, but the earrings and instructions could definitely be better.
