THE TOUGHEST OF NERF BARS I HAVE EVER SEEN! When I received the bars via US Mail I was astounded by how heavy the box was, about 150 lbs. I knew these bars were the best choice for my brand new 2016 Tundra. Removing packaging I found that the bars are very well protected even the though the box was in rough shape, not a scratch on them when unwrapped. The coating is tough as nails and has a subdued parkerized look, not too shiny not too dull. Installation was a breeze and took only an hour, including prep of tools and floor. Instructions on installation are straight forward and simple to follow even for the weekend mechanic . The bolts removed are metric and bolts installed are SAE. When mounting bars, I was amazed at how precise the bars fit into place and not really a whole lot of adjustments need to made. Installation can and was done by one person with supports and light. These nerf bars are the second item I have purchased from Tyger and I have been impressed by price and quality. Amazon needs to make change to header, these do fit a 2016 Tundra double cab like a glove. The seller is from Cali. so shipping is a little slower than I like but seller is very courteous and knowledgeable of product. These bars will be the toughest thing outside your truck.

Love them. Heavy duty, great texture, packed super well and easy to install. This is probably the 1st thing I've ever bought on Amazon that popped up while I was looking at other things. I typically don't trust those. But they liked great and Amazon has a good return policy. Great news is these exceeded my expectations. I liked how well the shipper packaged them because they came undamaged and they are pretty heavy. All the reviews saying you need a 12mm and 13mm socket are spot on. Easy. I did it myself (I'm 43) in 30 minutes. I used 2 bricks and a 2x4 scrap to kiss 1 end up while I got the 1st started. Then I went to the back and got it started. Middle was easy to start and I tightened it up from there.

Packing was over the top. Tyger seems to really care about their company image. Shipping was a day early and the bars exceeded my expectations. Mounting was a breeze and I didn’t need help which was suggested. I used the box it came in as an extra set of hands to hold the bar in place. All holes lined up perfectly. Looks great and adds a ton of side impact protection. Only negative, it was a bit pricey but worth it.

I can't say enough good things about this product! Extremely heavy duty, look fantastic & were a breeze to install. Fit my 2016 Tundra crew cab (the version with the smaller rear doors) perfectly. The box arrived a little beaten up, but the rails are so well packed it didn't matter. The only tool you need is a socket wrench with a 12mm socket to remove the factory bolts, and a 13mm socket to install the new bolts. I installed by myself & it took about 30 minutes total. The ONLY suggestion I would make to the manufacturer is that since the bolts are fine-thread, it can be a little difficult getting the new bolts lined up perfectly so as not to strip them. The factory bolts have tapered ends to make it easier to start the threads, so including the same style threads would make it a little easier than the standard flat ended bolts included. Again, a minor detail that in no way changes my opinion of this awesome product!

These side steps are awesome! Well built, easy to install, and very eye catching on my charcoal grey Tundra. Installation - while the instructions are clear the photos are a bit difficult to see exactly where the Tundra existing bolts are located. It took a bit of hunting under the frame, but once I found the first one the rest where easy. Note there are four pre-drilled locations per side, but the step only uses three...very obvious, just line up the step brackets. I installed the steps alone so it was a bit challenging to get the bolts started. I used a furniture dolly built up with some scrap 4x4 to help mate up the steps to the truck frame. I recommend a helper, if available, as they are very heavy.My only critique was (hence 4-stars, vs 5) the shipping carton was nearly in shreds and taped up when it arrived. Clearly these things are heavy and need some serious packing. Fortunately, the package of bolts and instructions remained in the carton. There were some Styrofoam packing material, but with the carton trashed everything was just jumbled up. Not sure if the box was shipped in this condition or got damaged in transit.

I really like the looks and functionality of these side steps. They are very sturdy and heavy duty. I was surprised how thick the rails were. They come out pretty far too so your not looking for it when stepping in or out. All around an awesome set up. Took me about one hour each side doing it at night by myself. I used the box it came in and a floor jack to hold it in place. Came with great hardware too. Reason it took me so long to install is because some of the existing bolts on the frame were a bit rusted in there so I really had to clean the threads up before I installed new hardware. I live in New York so all of our trucks rust underneath. I would def recommend these for your tundra. I liked the star logos too. They match well with my rockstar wheels. Spend the extra money and get these. I’m sure there are cheaper side steps out there but In my opinion, These are the best. I get a lot of compliments on them too. Probably going to buy the matching front bull bar next.

Just put them on a few days ago, took about 20 mins with the help of my motorcycle jack, and impact gun.They look amazing, and feel very solid, very nice finish, looks like it should stand up to time as it's pretty rugged.Very well built, and extremely happy with the look and feel so far.
