Anyone tried to mix two different colors - dark brown and light brown for example? any comments are welcome.

Hi Kristine. I never mixed 2 different colors because I have short hair and that would give me way too much dye to treat my hair. You might want to look for a "middle color" between dark and light Brown. Like number 47 or 46 as an example. I use 48 and it's pretty dark.

How many boxes will I need for long thick hair?

This is the only hair dye I use. I have a lot of gray and it covers my gray very very well. This hair dye actually makes me look 15 years younger. Seriously. I’m 46 and still get carded for alcohol. I use 2 boxes because my hair is thick and because of the amount of gray I have. The amount of coverage for the 2 boxes is based on 1” of new growth. I hope this helps you.

Buy lighter tone than your hair color

As everyone says here, I confirm the colors tend to be darker, so go 1-2 times lighter than your natural color. I did not get any irritation. The tint is covering the white hair to my satisfaction and lasts 25 dd on my hair. The same as the products with ammonia, so I prefer to go ammonia free.
