More expensive but last longer than regular steel blades
I use my reciprocating saw for cutting branches and slicing roots. Green wood and roots are tough on pruning blade and soon dull the blade to the point it is no longer effective. I buy a stack of pruning blades in the spring but I'm always surprised how many I've gone through by the fall. I've tried to resharpening the blades, but the real answer is these carbide blades. They are more expensive than regular pruning blades, but I've bought two and they lasted an entire season. Carbide blades cost 50 percent more than a good quality carbon steel or bimetallic pruning blade, but they last much longer. The only real down side is when cutting roots: it's real easy to bend a blade when working in the dirt. Regular blades you can hammer flat. The carbide teeth are welded on and will easily come loose at the bend if you hammer the blade straight. You can still use the blade with a missing tooth or two, but it won't work as efficiently. I still keep a few carbon steel blades on hands for roots.

Great blade. It does exactly what it supposed to do.
Best $20 I’ve spent in a long time. This blade definitely works and it works very quickly with nice clean cuts. I easily cut off 5” branches from my Mayday tree. I expect it will last for a while since it’s still very sharp. But it’s way better than the manual pruning saw I also bought for twice the price. If it ever gets dull I’ll buy another.

Doesn't cut 'green' branches
I was shocked to see how poorly this blade performed on pruning small and medium branches. I used this on a Milwaukee Sawz-All. The blade just can't cut fresh small branches and only trears them to shreds and makes cutting very difficult and messy and time consuming. Honestly, use a good, large pruning shear and cut through branches like butter, but don;' use this.

Jacques

Diablo 9 inch carbide pruning blade
Blade went dull after a few cuts, used a Mastercraft blade which finished the job with no issues. Mastercraft blades are a 1/4 of the price & work better.
