Happy, just paranoid about damaging it
I'm permanently terrified of inadvertently dropping this or snapping the blade in some way, so I've treated it very gently, but after a month or so, it's still impressively sharp (more so than it feels, because there aren't the uneven sharpening edges you get on a metal blade) - more so than I ever got a steel knife to stay except if I resorted to a whetstone. The biggest issue I have is that food sticks to it much more than the colour-coated steel knife I used before, so I tend to throw the things I'm chopping around with an upswing and there's more resistance as I go through moist items; I can't vouch for how it compares to a naked steel blade. I've not tried sharpening it yet (I have the Kyocera sharpener), but nor have I needed to - though I don't expect it to last forever. I'd have dulled a steel blade by now! Oh, and I've had to resort to the blade guard for crushing garlic. It's weird how light this is compared with a metal blade, but it's worked very well so far.

I've had mine for many years and love it
First: this is a slightly unusual review, because this item was bought as a present. However, I've had an identical knife myself for almost ten years, so consider this a long-use review. In short: This is the knife I've used for 90% of all my cutting work in the kitchen since I bought it and I think it is brilliant. After all these years, it's still almost as sharp as when I bought it, and there are no damage on it. I wash it in the dishwasher most of the time, and this works fine as long as it's kept from rattling or rubbing against other items. The only things I don't use it for are when cutting on meat on the bone, frozen goods, or hard cheese (which is a weird material and may actually crack a brittle knife such as this). But keep it from anything that's too hard and it will stay sharp and maintenance-free for many, many years.

Razor-sharp knives it's a pleasure to use
I have had these knives before and think they are excellent, so this time bought the larger one as well. The only adverse comment I would make is that they came in the most enormous box, three quarters of which was packing. Quite ridiculous, especially as the knives come in very protective and solid boxes of their own.

Excellent sharp knife. Highly recommended!
Perfect for tomatoes or any thin skinned fruit. The blade just cuts through without any pressure so you get beautifully thin cut tomato slices rather than squashed or large chunks. The blade is also large enough to cut through the whole sandwich afterwards. Very, very sharp with the tiny serrations so watch your fingers and very expensive for one knife, but it is the best and you won't find one better. I know, I've tried!
