I am the single dad, only parent of two boys - nine and three. They essentially lost their mother about five, almost six months ago. This has led David, my three year old to decide that I am momma, as well as being papa. About a week before Christmas he decided that he really wanted a baby doll, so he could be a momma, just like papa. It is only through Amazon that I was able to find a boy baby doll - and knowing he wanted to sleep with it, I was pleased to find this little guy. The price didn't hurt either.After he opened his baby doll package, he was pretty well uninterested in the rest of his presents. Within minutes, my sweet David had named his baby doll, "baby David" and explained that he was no longer my baby David, he was now my tiny David.While I daresay it will be a while before David can manage a solid momma, he really loves his baby David.

My daughter got the little girl baby on her first Christmas. It was the perfect first doll. She has slept with "Princess Baby" every night and takes her all over the place. I was a little surprised when she asked for a "Boy Princess Baby" for Christmas, but quickly got on Amazon to see if one was available. Found him and ordered and on Christmas morning she was elated that her precious doll had been reunited with her twin. These dolls are awesome for children because they are soft which means they make great sleeping buddies, easy to wash, etc. I buy Premie clothes for them when I see them on sale at places like Target. It's not a perfect fit, but my daughter loves that they can have clothes versus just their diaper and jacket. Would make a great gift for the new big brother or sister as well who is wanting a baby of their own to cuddle.

This was a gift for a sixteen month old little boy who is expecting a little sister in a couple of weeks. I thought he needed a baby of his own to care for while Mom cared for the new baby. It has been just what I wanted. I made a tiny blanket to go with it so he can wrap it or cover it just like Mom does his new sister. I was happy to see that the little diaper that came on the doll was removable and realistic. I was worried about the doll getting dirty when he dragged it around but the surface of the doll is easy care. Even though the whole doll is cloth, it can be gently wiped off with a damp cloth. He was immediately drawn to the cute little face and there were many hugs. The price of the doll was certainly within budget and the over all shopping experience was great. It came in just two days and since I have prime there was no shipping. I am a very satisfied Amazon shopper.

I got this baby boy doll for my 17 month old son because he had started picking up stuffed animals and calling them "baby" and hugging and patting them so I thought he might enjoy a little baby doll. I had a hard time finding a boy doll, but this one is perfect! It is small and light enough that a toddler can easily pick it up and carry it around, but it is large enough for him to grab and hug. I love that it is made of soft, plush fabric and not hard plastic and, as others have said, it doesn't look "creepy." My husband had it sitting on the counter after it arrived and when he walked into the room with my son and my son saw it, he squealed with delight - "BABY!!!" Since then, he always keeps his baby nearby and frequently comes back to it when playing with other toys. He also takes it to bed at night and in the morning when he wakes, I can see on the monitor that he immediately grabs "baby" and hugs him. So sweet. My only drawbacks are that this baby is not machine washable and the baby's face is already getting pretty dirty looking from frequent toddler kisses and handling. (It can be wiped with a damp cloth so we'll see how that works.) Also, my son often picks the baby up by the hat which is attached to baby's head with stitches on each side above the ears so I have already noticed some tearing on the baby's head where the hat attaches. Finally, (and not really a big deal), the shirt and diaper do not stay on well at all so baby is usually carted around sans clothing. I saw a couple other reviews mention that preemie clothes fit the doll so if I ever care enough, I could always get the baby some pjs or something that would stay on. Overall, I think this is a great baby doll for toddlers!

We have purchased one of these for each of our sons to use as a lovey once they are about 12 months old. Both of them are completely attached to their buddies and it is nice to be able to teach them how to be a good daddy and help take care of a baby when they are young.I wish the velcro on the diaper was stringer as it's basically useless after a month or two of playing and/or the first few washes in the washing machine (I zip them up in a delicates bag). As it is, it was easy for me to measure them and make some little shorts so the babies don't have to be toted around completely naked! We love these dolls and will purchase a girl baby for our daughter in the coming months as well!

I have three young girls ages 1 year to 4.5 years, and these babydolls are a HUGE hit. Last year the two older girls were each given a Rosy Cheeks doll. The big sister and one of the babies. The baby far surpasses the big sister in long term pleasure. Everyone wants the baby. So this year I bought one more for us and two for nieces. The nieces also found them to be a big hit!The doll has soft plush skin (feels like "Minky" cloth), that you just want to touch and touch and touch. The clothes are simple enough that my two year old can put them on all by herself. They love to hug and cuddle this baby, and who can blame them? I'd love it too with the texture of them!The dolls have held up exceptionally well all year, through child's rough play. When they have become soiled I have both washed topically with a washcloth and thrown them into the washer and then dryer. They are still soft and cuddly and not misshapen.Our family has had many babydolls, hard bodied, and semi soft/rubber bodies and these. These take the cake, the others are second rate.Highly recommended. I would absolutely buy these again (not that I would need to for my current girls.) Well worth the 12-20 dollars you pay for them on Amazon.
