No stone was with the package, disappointed

I received it a few weeks back, and have tried it some times so far with out any problems with a piece of flint from my driveway. Not to expensive. Now for me to practice with it more.

I'm always looking for more equipment to try out. This fits the bill.

Decent steel, I could get good sparks if I could find a sharp edge on the stone...

Is a fine striker but unless you are familiar with this system already it is just a chunk of steel

This item is far better than anticipated. I thought I'd be receiving something that was thin, stamped steel, and of poor manufacture. This one really surprised me. The item is quite thick, and the hole for fire-drilling is deep and substantial. Though I suspect this was die-cut on a huge press, it may also have been CNC cut from flat stock. The edges appear to be perfectly at 90 degree angles for great sparking when using a flint.I would recommend this item without any reservation. I was originally going to purchase the same item from Esee knives, which would have cost about 2x as much. I'm so happy that I opted to purchase this one.Very, very satisfied.
