Mikasa Platinum Crown 40-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 8

I'm one of those people who could have a thousand different sets of dishes because I find it impossible to choose one from all the gorgeous patterns out there, but since I don't happen to own a warehouse and am basically still using the same Mikasa Garden Harvest dishes I got 20 years ago, these do quite nicely for those rare occasions when I need to try to dress things up a bit. The pattern is very simple, but I think it'd work with whatever style decor anyone has. It's not super expensive, but it makes a very nice impression.

I loved this Mikasa Platinum Crown 40 pieces set. But after I put them in the cabinet I noticed that some plates are not leveled. It is a manufacturing defect. I couldn't returned because I had threw the original box before I check them. Other than that they are beautiful.

very nice plates with the designed edge. But when placed in a microwave the plate edges gets super hot very quickly

Great china at a great price. The first set came with two broken pieces. Amazon shipped a whole new set that arrived unbroken. I shipped the old set back for free. I'm happy!

I still dont know if I will be keeping this. I bought this to add to my original set that I have from years ago and was missing some pieces. To my surprise, the quality is not even close to what I have. This one is heavier. It is not fine porcelain. To me, is more like stone. Even the MIKASA logo is totally different.

I got this set so that I would have enough place settings of my wedding china to have family Thanksgiving. I love the pattern. It looks lovely on a set table with both light and dark tablecloths. Most of the pieces were fine, but some of them did seem to have the pattern slightly off-center or otherwise imperfect.However, I paid about half what I would have paid for individual place settings. I doubt anyone will be scrutinizing the patterns closely enough to notice. For perspective, the imperfect pieces that came in this set still look a lot better than the perfect pieces that cost more but that I have chipped already. The china is fragile.You get what you pay for, and for the money, I would buy this set again. I would rather have enough china to use when I have my big family over than have a smaller number of perfect pieces.

I had just moved into new house and ordered this set to replace china that had been stolen. When it arrived, I opened the box, and was very disappointed. The platinum ring dividing the rim from center piece was almost gone on at least 12 of the dinner plates.
