Great size for smaller loaves of bread.
I bought these to bake smaller loaves of artisan bread to give to friends. They are perfect and easy to clean. I was very pleased with the design and the appearance of these Dutch ovens and the price was the best of any I could find. The are ceramic, not cast iron coated with enamel, so you need to be careful not to hit them on anything. But they are not fragile either. About 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick. They should last a long time given the proper care.

Perfect size for bread making
I used this Dutch oven the very same day it was delivered to make homemade bread. It was the perfect size for the no-knead bread and it worked great!

Nice Dutch Oven
My wife wanted a Dutch oven, I ended up getting her three different ones. The other two are flimsy it seems. This is not the other ones. Super heavy duty (and heavy in weight) it works great. You can make anything in here including soups, chili, casseroles, and bread. Best one of the three.

Very useful size
I have many stock pots, dutch ovens, and enameled cast iron casserole dishes. But this size proved ideal for one pot cooking in smaller quantities. Although only 3 qts., this is deeper than any comparably sized casserole I own. This thick, flameproof ceramic pot has a nice matte finished glaze which browned chicken thighs on a high heat gas stovetop without sticking, then was easy to maintain a slow, covered simmer once the rest of the ingredients were added. The handles are comfortable, and stayed cool enough to remove the pot from the stovetop without having to use potholders. Afterwards, the cleanup was a cinch. Considering its extra depth, I'm looking forward to trying this soon, for deep frying. A very worthwhile addition to my kitchen!

Pretty little pot
Debated pretty hard between this pot and an enamelled cast iron dutch oven, and eventually went with this one for four reasons:1. The price2. The colour3. The fact that it would get here the next day.4. The lighter weight. The pot arrived very well packed in sturdy foam. The box was a little scuffed, presumably in rough Amazon transit, but the pot was completely unscathed. There was a small amount of what appeared to be sticker residue of some sort on the lip of the pot, but that came off with no effort when I washed it.The difference in colour between the top and bottom is quite noticeable. The top is a lovely glazed blue, the bottom is matt, with a more indigo colour to it. If you're slightly OCD, this colour difference will drive you bananas.Upon receipt of the box, I immediately unpacked the pot, washed it, and promptly baked a loaf of bread. It turned out pretty well! I'm a very beginning baker, and by the looks of my boule it could use another few minutes in the oven, but overall it worked exactly as I hoped it would. The 3qt pot is perfect for a small loaf.Mindful of the reviews saying the lid did not fit, and the sides were slightly tapered, I paid attention to those things. The lid fits perfectly. The sides are indeed very very slightly tapered - but you'd only notice if you were looking very closely. I used parchment paper when baking the bread, and it lifted out of the pot with no problems at all. It may be an issue if you use a much larger amount of dough? I think it would take at least twice or three times the amount before removal became an issue.Overall I am very pleased indeed with this pretty little pot. If anything goes wrong in subsequent months I will update my review, so if you see no update you can assume all is well.

Excellent cooker!
After purchasing the 6 quart version, I purchased this and use both to either cook stews, soups, sauce, etc. or to use as a bread baker. My only criticism is the weight. They are HEAVY to handle and the 6 quart one, with contents in it, is difficult for me to lift off of the stove. I understood it would be heavy because of its composition, but I was surprised by the actual weight, either empty or filled. IF you are young and strong, this is a great cooking pot!

Super Little Dutch Oven
My wife is an expert baker, and wanted to try a Dutch oven. This little beauty is such a pretty color, we have blue), and it's light weight and quality construction make for easy handling and uniform heating. We enjoyed this first loaf immensely, and know we will use the Dutch oven for soups and casseroles as well. Versatile, just right for our small kitchen, and attractive enough to leave out on display

Quality control must not be a priority
This is my second order for the pot. Returned the first because of a chip in the pot. This one the lid has a shiny finish and the pot has a matte finish. The pot also has some paint chips but this time they are on the outside not the inside rim. I will keep it, as I assume the next one will have a flaw in the finish as well, but am not impressed with their quality.
