Burst Launcher B-88,Red Burst (L/R ) Two-Way Launcher,Pull-Wire Launcher Suitable for Various Gyroscopes

Bought 3 of these for my kids. Held on to them for a month for a special occasion. They all worked fine but after a week one quit working. The string got stuck. There is a white directional lock on the bottom. I think my kid pulled it with the direction lock unlocked. I included a picture of the lock in the locked position (in) and unlocked position (out).I am not 100% sure if this was the case but I believe it was. It is also possible that my kid pulled too hard to the max end of the string.Luckily I have a little mechanical know how. Years of working on conveyor and production machines mostly from an electrical and controls perspective + old cars in the 90's. I opened the case up and found there was no tension on the spring return.The center shift of the spring coil mechanism. Was no longer connected to the spring coil.The easy part is taking the main assembly loose (wish I took pictures during the process) the cord was wrapped OUTSIDE the drum where it belongs.I could also see the center shaft of the spring coil and drum could free spin meaning it was no longer attached to the coil spring.The spring coil assembly was a little tougher to take apart and put back together.I took it apart (three layers) a string keeper layer, the main center housing and the spring coil layer.Once I got them apart (two screws and some gentle prying) I was able to get the center shift back into the spring coil center with no tension on the spring coil.I reassembled the spring coil mechanism (toughest to keep the outer edge of the spring coil in place against the upper and lower housing. There is some divots in the outer end of the spring coil that have to line up with the inner and outer housing so it stays in place.Once that was back in I coiled up the pullstring(paying attention to spring coil retract direction). Then I pulled the string out to maximum length dangling down. I refit the brass string keeper in the end of the launcher. And carefully holding the launcher partially by hand allowed the string to retract all the way. The string tension felt good on the retract.Without doing that last step it would have been easy to put the coil in under or over tensioned.Once that was set I put everything back together and gave it a test. It worked great. At that point I groaned because I realized I should have taken pictures the entire way. I am willing to bet a lot of these are just the string getting outside of the drum and/or it being pulled too hard and the center shaft coming off of the spring coil.Took 15 minutes to fix having never opened one of these before. (Again I have years of troubleshooting and problem solving on machines a conveyor.) I am willing to bet with a pictured guide it might take the average person about 10-15 minutes to do what I did if they have the same problem. If anyone wants to try to crack one open. . . .ask a question on Amazon and hopefully I'll see it and I can open it back up and take some picks or draw some diagrams.

Cord would not retract, didn't fit the beyblades properly. This is a knock-off of a Takotomi product. Don't buy it.

THESE ARE TRASH! STRING WILL GET JAMMED AND WILL NOT RELEASE. HAD A REPLACEMENT AND IT DONE THE SAME.

Lovely appearance, structure, durability & a lovely value for the mone. , l recommend purchasing the launcher but definitely guide your child to utilize this toy in a safe environment.

I bought it for my grandson. It worked for three pulls and then broke. Very disappointing! DON’T BUY.

Had this for one day and it broke. The string got stuck and you can no longer pull it. Total junk.
