Legs clamp well - barely. Waaaaay overpriced!
The good:- It DOES hold steady with my projector (17 pounds) on top of it- The legs have markers for each inch, which is helpful when trying to even out all sides to a specific evenness.- The top of the stand is ALSO folded in half and turns into its own case. Twist off the legs, and you can push them into the bottom part of the table. Fold in half. That's cool. The bad:- Cheap, cheap parts. If this was a tripod, it would cost about $25.- The clamps to keep the legs from slipping are really weak. I don't see how it could stay in place if you placed something heavier on the stand (say, for example, a full-sized 30 pound projector).- The bottom "shelf"/sling sucks.Overall:I would have gone for a simple tripod-style stand with a flat surface (like a laptop stand) over this, if I knew it was so cheaply made. Not worth $100+. Not a single bit.

TABLE!
First impressions:Pros: It's a small foldable table. While it's designed for a projector, it can easily be lowered to lap height, and form a small work table. It feels well made, and should have no problem carrying its rated weight. The fact that everything folds up into its own carry case is added convenience! The included carry bag is remarkably large. It holds the table, my projector, its remote, and a genuine heap of cables with room to spare.Cons:Seems a little pricey for what you're getting. I mean, it's well made for sure, but this particular cheapskate does wonder...The lower shelf is free-hanging from a set of belts. While useful for holding, for example, a thin-and-light laptop that's driving the projector, I wouldn't trust it with much else. Definitely not an older game console with corded controllers.

Well Designed
With 30 plus years in the AV business, I have seen all types of projector stands and the Visual Apex stand is one of the best. Perfect for the traveling sales rep, or in a church, like mine, where we setup and take down down every Sunday. It’s easy to use and very steady. Good for small to medium sized projectors. I really like the fact that they provided an Allen wrench so you can adjust the grip of the locks on the legs. And the shelf was a perfect place to put the extra length of cable between the laptop and the projector. The design allows you to store the legs inside and the top locks solid when you unfold it.

The Unit Now Works Well After Visual Apex's Excellent Customer Service!
This table, while light weight, does work well as a projector and laptop support table stand. My unit arrived with a small part broken on the laptop shelf strap and one leg came apart the first time I used it (the leg was not assembled properly at the factory). Visual Apex responded immediately and sent a new replacement shelf and leg. The Carry Bag is large enough to carry the table stand, my projector, its power and HDMI cables and the remote. This is a good combination for transporting the equipment necessary to make remote presentations. Customers who complain about the leg clamps not being tight enough should use the included Allen wrench to tighten them before use. Step 8 of the Instructions should include some words regarding how and why that is necessary but the photo alone shows that happening. The clamps are likely left loose from the factory to ensure they are not set too tight under either high or low temperature conditions which the manufacturer has no control over. Overall this is a good product even though it is somewhat overpriced.

Courtroom ready --
This stand is sturdy, despite the picture giving it a coltish appearance, and the case is high grade. Ease of set-up: Spin down the legs onto the base, expand the legs, flip it over, useful immediately. We will be putting our slightly heavy 6000 lumin projector on it for our courtroom work - just what we hoped for when ordering. (The clippy thing under the main shelf may prove useful for something, but we will probably leave that back at the office - it is not for stability, just adds extra storage.) 5 stars.

The legs on this table won't last
First off, I never write reviews, but I'm upset with the quality of this product. I have had this table for less than 3 years and have set up my projector probably less than 5 times over the 3 years. I've only ever sat my projector on the table, which the weight is minimal. There are 2 clamps on each leg of the table. Each clamp on each leg has broke and no longer holds the legs of the table up, which makes the table worthless. I have no idea how this is even possible unless it is because the clamps are made out of the cheapest plastic on the market. I reached out to the manufacture of the table and they stated I couldn't buy the clamps, I have to buy the entire table leg. To purchase 4 new legs and the cost for shipping would be pointless because it would be close to the cost of what I paid for the table. If I could give this 0 stars I would, especially for the initially cost I paid for a table that I have basically not used. Table is also stored in my house in my office, so weather isn't a factor.

Flimsy, especially for the price
When I assembled this item for the first time I thought to myself, "This thing will not last." Here I am about 5 uses later and ALL of the lower clamps (the only one's I've adjusted) are cracked. The product hasn't been mistreated or mishandled and has been stored in its original case in a temperature controlled, indoor environment. It's just not very durable. It's not altogether bad, but should be a $50 item at most.

A bit flimsy
I purchased this to use with a 5500 lumen projector. I won't use it that often, but did have an opportunity this past week. While the top should latch open, to form the table, mine really didn't latch securely. I may see about contacting the seller, because if someone picked it up to move it, then it could dump my $3000 projector on the ground. The top is plastic, and not super sturdy, the legs flex a bit. While it's not quite what I expected, for the price I can't complain too much. I may buy another for my second projector.
