You can check the picture gallery for this item, third picture answers this question. This depends on what SFP module is used in SFP slot inside. If you use 10G SFP+ module inside SFP slot - then you should connect 10G UTP copper device at the UTP as well. Subsequently, if you install 1G module into SFP slot, then you can connect it to 1G UTP copper port device as well. Hope this helps to answer your question

SFP slot of the unit accepts SFP+ type (10G) transceiver module only

You can use any brand of SFP+ (or 1G) modules, but they must be regular SFP type, but NOT GPON - GPON will not work, since unit is media converter, and does not have GPON ONT microchip inside to support communication with GPON OLT. So, answer is YES, for any type of regular SFP+ or SFP+, but NO for GPON standard SFP.
