Easy to use and clean, no waste! Makes a hot cup of coffee!
I bought the Nespresso machine a couple of weeks ago. Even though the pods can easily be recycled, new pods take up room to store, and I don't like storing the used pods until I have a full bag for recycling. This reusable pod is a perfect solution. And no need to purchase paper coffee filters! The pod does not explode in the machine as drescribed by some reviewers. The pod cap screws on tightly because of the o-ring. There are also two spare o-rings included. As you can see in the photo, there are tiny ridges on the side of the cap which make it easy to tighten and loosen. The pod will not stick in the machine if you flip it out right after you make a cup of coffee. When I first started to use the pod, it was stuck in the machine. I ran some water through it, and then it came right out. After that first issue, I removed it immediately upon use. No problems after that. The coffee is stronger when you use a tamper. I have used the measuring scoop to tamp it down, but I will be buying a 41 mm tamper.I have never had any grounds in the bottom of the coffee cup. I cannot imagine how grounds would get in the coffee cup as mentioned by some reviewers because the holes on top of the cap are so small. To clean, I just knock the coffee out on the side of the wastebasket. I do need to use my fingers to get it all out, then rinse the residue in the sink. It is crucial to make sure the holes on the cap are all cleaned. The pod is hot when it is first discarded, but run it under some water to cool it down, and you can use it right away for a second cup. I would suggest buying another pod if you regularly need a second cup right away.I have not gotten as much crema as the Nespresso pods, but I am still experimenting.I grind my own coffee beans in a grinder with a blade, not a burr mill grinder. It works fine. I might buy a better grinder at some point. I wonder if the size of the grounds impacts the amount of crema. One reviewer mentioned that you can control the amount of water by holding down the brew button and then releasing it when you want the water to stop. This works.

Who wants watery coffee?
This looks good and works with my Nespresso Virtuo machine, but makes totally watery coffee. The Grasseed kit works much better. Don’t waste your money on this.

Inconsistent function
I received this item about one week ago. I've used it at least a dozen times now. And I have yet to get the same brew twice. Clearly there are several variables that are coming into play. How much coffee you put in the chamber. How much you pack it down or not. And if you grind your own beans, how fine or coarse the coffee grounds are has a lot to do with how it flows out of the machine. It seems to froth up considerably more than it did with the pods that came with my machine. So I will play with it some more until either I get it figured out or I return it. Clearly one of the advantages of using the Nespresso pods are that you actually do get the same cup, time after time. But you sure pay for it. I will add that the unit itself is very well made. Easy to screw the cap off and on. And it is very easy to clean. After cleaning, if you hold the cap up to a light, you can see if the filter holes or the center spout are clear or not. It comes with a little brush which I have not needed. So the jury is really out on this product. Good product quality ... fair price ... trickier to get consistent cups than perhaps it should be.

You need to modify the pod for proper coffee extraction - drill out the center water inlet
This POD requires a modification to work properly as the water inlet as designed is too restrictive to allow water to flow and properly extract the coffee resulting in "tea water". simply drill out the center of the POD’s center water inlet with a 7/32" drill bit or saw it off with a hack saw to open it up (see photo) and the POD will work magnificently yielding rich creamy coffee. I've found that an espresso grind yields the best results.I extensively experimented with this pod which lead me to make the modification. The issue with the POD is the water intake at the center of the pod has holes that are too small to handle the flow of water from the Nespresso machine causing the water to back up and flow around the pod, never entering it. This is what causes the very inconsistent, and poor results. 2 min with a drill or hack saw solves the design flaw and gives you a great cup of coffee!

Heavy, sturdy, works great!
The media could not be loaded. I just got this and was nervous it wouldn't work. It does! It is heavy, sturdy, well made and easy to use. The coffee frothed up on top with that nice crema. The coffee doesn't taste like a nespresso pod, but I don't blame that on the capsule...the coffee I am using is different and not the same quality, but this capsule product works great!

Doesn't work
Followed the directions. First time I ended up with brown water; second time it ran out of the top all over the counter. This is supposed to be the correct filter for my Nespresso Vertuo, but it does not work.

Does exactly what it says it does
Will fully admit, I was rather skeptical about this item. I was doubly dubious when it arrived along with a note saying they offered a $10 Amazon gift card to anyone who gives them a 5-star video review. Well no gift card for me since I don't do video reviews, but I will honestly say this item earns its 5-star rating.Like most everyone exploring reusable pods like these, I really wanted to get away from using countless pods -- and the expense that comes with their purchase. After using this item daily for the past two weeks, I am a skeptic no more. I use finely ground Italian coffee, pack it into the pod tightly, and the results are outstanding. It makes no more noise than the regular Nespresso pods do (I was worried about that), the coffee tastes excellent and clean up is simple: just empty the grounds and rinse out the pod. Great product that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone whose environmentally conscious and wants to cut down on their coffee costs.

No great but not bad either
If you are expecting that using this product will give the same results at the Nespresso pods then you will be disappointed. If you want a decent cup of coffee without breaking the bank on pods then this works.I have seen some reviews here complaining about the following:1) Brews a weak coffee2) Not enough crema3) Doesn't brew a full cupI will admit there is a bit of a learning curve to using this product and getting a decent cup of coffee. I am sharing what I have learned to save people some grief.1) Weak coffee and not enough crema - After some experimentation and some bad cups of coffee, I found that you need to use very finely ground coffee and DO NOT PACK the grounds into the pod. 3 scoops of loose finely ground coffee (using the scoop that comes with the pod) get you a heaping mound in the pod. The screwing the lid down packs it just the right amount. This produces a lot of crema and a pretty decent cup of coffee.2) Doesn't brew enough coffee - I suggest you read the instructions that came with your machine. You can adjust the amount of brewed coffee for each bar code by simply holding the button while it brews and letting go when you get the amount you want. You only need to do this once (unless you want to again change the amount for that barcode).I hope this helps. I am fairly satisfied with this product but not 5 stars satisfied.
