Actually works. Apply to rounded off nut with hammer, and use steady force.

Worth the money for Subaru cam bolts
I bought this kit strictly to try out on Subaru camshaft bolts as I saw on the Internet this was a viable tool to remove them. I'm happy to report these extractors got those terrible bolts out. I was able to get them out under 10 minutes for all 4. Very happy with this purchase.

Worked as intended
Made extracting a broken M10 a breeze

Used one time, still like new.
Right now, I'll give it 4 stars. Only have used once. Used the next one to the smallest. Had a 8 mm star head bolt that I rounded the head some. But the wrench/socket would only turn freely on it. By using the 5/16 extractor, I was able to remove it with medium force. The bolt was torqued at 40 ft-lbs.

For the hard nuts, the best tool for the job.
I rounded off a nut on my engine rebuild. The nut was in a hard-to-reach place for anything but a socket. Just the way automotive engineers like it, right? They came in, and I went straight to the problem and backed the nut off the first time. I had to buy a replacement bolt.

I'm a little concerned with the hardness of the extractors metal and the sharpness of the teeth on them.

Awesome set
I had an issue with removing a nut in a very tight spot on my car. Nut was rounded and hard to get out. Got this socket set today and went out to my car to remove the nut. I am so glad I bought it because it grabbed on to what was left of the nut and it came out with ease. Wish I knew about this set before I started the job of trying to remove the nut with a regular socket. Highly recommend having this in your tool box.

Never used anything like this before. But was straight forward enough. Needed to remove two bolts that are about 20years old under a car. This set had them out in less than 5minutes. Well worth it. 👍
