Thick, Effective, and Cheaper Than the Name Brand These STK extra-thick magic cleaning pads are one of those products that quietly become a household essential. I first bought them as a cheaper alternative to Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, and I honestly don’t notice a difference in performance—if anything, these hold up better because they’re thicker. They work on everything from scuff marks on walls and baseboards to greasy stovetops and even crayon and marker on furniture. I’ve used them on bathroom sinks, white shoes, and fridge handles with consistently impressive results. Just add water and they cut through grime without soap or chemicals. Because they’re melamine sponges, they do wear down and crumble as you use them. That’s normal and happens with all brands. My trick is cutting them in half so I’m not wasting a full sponge on small jobs. For the price, getting 20 large pads makes it easy to always have one on hand. One caution: they’re a little like very fine sandpaper, so I wouldn’t use them on glossy car paint or delicate surfaces that scratch easily. But for household cleaning, they’re a powerhouse. Clearing permanent marker off of plastic surface? Check. Removing hard water stains off shower windows? Check. Getting the last bit of food crust off a pot or pan? Yeah, but not very easily and the eraser breaks down fairly quickly. Scrubbing the dirt off the rubber soles of your sneakers (even after doing a pre-wash)? Shreds into a million pieces. Price is nice and they generally do the trick, just not for the toughest jobs. Brand name will break down too, just not as quickly as these. Is the weaker product worth significant savings? In my opinion, yes (unless the brand name pricing drops significantly). Pro tip - if you're going to cut these up into smaller erasers, don't slice them too thin (bc they'll fall apart WAY faster). Aim for thick cubes rather than thin sheets. DO NOT put melamine foam in your toilet tank thinking it will clean the toilet bowl with each flush. It won't. DO NOT use as an alternative to toilet paper, wet wipes or bidet, you lunatic! Actually, don't use toilet paper as an alternative to wet wipes or bidet. Works just like the name brand Mr Clean. Far better purchase price at forty cents each vs like a four pack for one dollar each. popular store with the yellow asterisk has them currently on sale for 100 pieces for $17.54 brand BAODELI.

After finding out that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser was just a Melamine sponge with some detergent, I decided to purchase something with more quantity out of the same material for less money. It does the job and cleans just as well, but the texture is very different from Mr. Clean and it's made in a way where it's easily snaps in half. About three of them have snapped already, while the Mr Clean Melamine sponges have never snapped and are much more reusable because of it. At least I got twice the amount than what comes in a Mr Clean Sponge pack for the same price, which should make up for the lack of quality. I won't be buying these again. I wish I could return them, but it's too late since I obviously needed to open the package to use the sponges, and I don't think Amazon would appreciate a package with missing items in it.

They are amazing! I was blown away that they are able to get wheelchair scuff marks off the walls and doors.

They do a great job. If I had one complaint, it would be that the sponge crumbles a bit when using. But I can live with that. My white sneakers now look brand new.

i have used the same to clean marks from walls, once you wet it with water it won't be usable able max2 times. It will start tearing, Worst product.
