Habe mir jetzt so nach und nach verschiedene Stärken gekauft. Ich liebe sie, sehr leicht, Spitze geht gut ins Häkelwerk, einzig der Preis ist natürlich etwas happig, aber echt das Geld wert.

I’ve been trying this out for a few weeks and comparing it to the Clover Amour hook and the Clover Soft Touch hook. I’m also comparing it to various off-brand hooks from Amazon. This is my favorite one. HOWEVER —- the raised logo on the handle really bothers me. It constantly rubs against my palm and interferes with my ability to go for a long time. I’m constantly having to readjust my grip because it irritates me. I tried to sand it down with a nail file and that helped a little, but not enough. If the handle was just a bit thicker and didn’t have raised logos, this would be the best hook ever. I didn’t take off a star though because the metal part of the hook is what matters, and the texture is something that can be removed with some effort. This hook maneuvers like a hot knife through butter in comparison to the two Clover hooks. Everyone says Clover is the best and it seems like the most popular, but it’s just slightly less smooth than the Etimo. This is my favorite hook so far and I often find myself looking for projects that call for this size just so I have an excuse to use it. I don’t know what this hook is coated with, but it’s so much smoother than the others. I’d say this is the absolute smoothest, then the Soft Touch, then the Armour. I’m a really tight crocheter, and this hook helps me get into those tight spaces. This is just the most perfect hook. It would be awesome if it came in other colors but I’ll survive!

Like another Japanese manufacture, the Etimo hooks are made to a high standard. They are comfortable in the hand and the polished shaft allows yarn to slide easily. The hook it's self is a wee bit more open than it's Japanese cousin and until I got used to it, the odd stitch would drop off the hook. Also, the tips of the hooks are slightly more pointed then their cousins. Making penetrating tight or small stitches easier. A great addition to my collection.
