One of the best enrichment items I've ever bought for my dog. I got this because she likes to get into things when I'm gone out of boredom. She has been chewing up more things than usual lately and this mat has exceeded my expectations. I sprinkle tiny pieces of cut up freeze dried chicken in it before I leave for work in the morning and it's the first thing she goes to when she starts to get those boredom urges. It keeps her occupied and she has completely stopped looking around my room for things to chew on. It is super easy to use - you just take it out of the package, set it on the floor, and sprinkle treats in it. That's all. The only thing I would change is how light it is. Sometimes she picks it up and it flips over, then she doesn't know what to do. It would be great if it could stay in place or just not be able to flip over.

My dog LOVES this thing. I bought a cheaper version (and this one is NOT expensive at all) and it was a mess very quickly. This one is much sturdier and I expect it to last (and when it gives up I'll just buy another). I use some shredded cheese (my dog is ok with cheese) and she loves sniffing it and finding it all. You can make the top opening bigger or smaller depending on how difficult you want this to be. You can use kibble or treats in it also (but not peanut butter....or anything sticky). My dog does NOT destroy toys so I don't worry. If your dog likes the fun of destroying thing then supervise them because it is NOT chew proof, and I wouldn't want her to eat the cap on the pull string. Quieter than many of her dog puzzles so I can use when people are sleeping. So much fun for her.

My dog struggles to get some of the food out and thus tries to rip the grass pieces. Overall good product though.

This is a great starter snuffle mat for dogs or cats. If your pet has never used a snuffle mat before this is a good, sturdy, affordable way to find out if they will actually use it. The size is good for any size dog and even for cats. It’s a fun activity for pets and a great way to keep those little busy bodies who are food motivated nice and occupied while you’re on an important call or just want to take a shower without your furry weirdos staring at you through the shower curtain. It is a bit stiff when you first get it but washing and use will take care of that. It has a strong drawstring with toggle closure that works well to keep kibble and treats inside when you need to pick the mat up and move it or take it with you in the car. BE SURE to flip this upside down and shake out every last bit of kibble and treats before you wash this. Seriously. You definitely don’t want your washer and dryer or your clothes to smell like dog food. When your pet is done snuffling for treats pick this up and put it away so that it doesn’t get chewed up. It is quite durable but it is still just made out of fabric and could be shredded by a determined power chewer. Very useful product if you are just starting out with “ditching the bowl”. When first starting out use some stinky, high value treats to get your pet really into trying to search for those yummy bits. Try placing them more toward the top at first just to get your pet used to having to look for the food and used to the feel of the pieces of fabric touching their face.

The first thing my puppy did was just turn it upside down to shake the treats out, then he started chewing on the felt loops. It slides easily on tile floors even with the rubbery bottom. This may be better for dogs that don't chew everything and are more calm and gentle. I hold it down now and my puppy sniffs for the treats. I remove it immediately after he gets the treats so he doesn't chew the felt loops. It seems to be made well and folds up for storage.

I honestly didn't think my dog would like a snuffle mat. He isn't treat motivated and doesn't really like eating his food either. We practically have to beg him to eat and handfeed him. He's a large dog, so getting 4 cups in a day has been a challenge! But he loves to use his nose and also likes to have pieces of food in different places for when he decides to have a snack. We decided to try a snuffle mat, but I didn't have high hopes. We put some pieces of dog food in and showed him. It took him about a week, but once he decided to snack out of it, he ate all we put in there. Now we fill it regularly a few times a day. He'll even snack at night or in the morning on his own. He has always had food out at all times, but would never eat on his own. The folds were a bit stiff right out of the box, but have softened up with use. It's also washable so I think they will soften more when we wash it. Love the round shape. It's easy to fill up, or just to throw a few pieces in. There was no smell on the fabric. Our dog has a supersensitive nose and he didn't react to it as if it had any unusual smell. It's pretty sturdy and I think it will last awhile. We'll probably order different ones for variety and rotate them to keep his interest. We have watched him snuffle and I feel it's safe. . I was worried he would chew it up, but he hasn't. I would monitor your pet with it in the beginning to make sure since all dogs are different.

When this first arrived I thought, well that's weird, and it is... but, my dog loves it. It has helped slow down his eating. We don't use it for every meal but when it comes out he really enjoys it. He sniffs through every "blade of grass" as if he was hunting for his food in the forest. It's larger than I expected. For size reference my dog is about 30lbs. We've had it for a few months now and it's showing no signs of wear. We've even washed it a few time without issue. Dog approved. 🐾

I was having trouble getting my dog to eat and she had begun losing weight. This snuffle mat gives her a challenge to find her food which is great for her brain, but also entices her to eat. She has put weight back on and is getting closer to her original weight.

This snuffle mat has been great for when you just want to sit down with your morning coffee or have 5–10 minutes to yourself after getting home from work. Our 14-week-old Goldie absolutely loves hers and even carries it around first thing in the morning waiting for it to be loaded up. It keeps her busy and happy, and gives us a little breather too. Definitely a top 5 purchase for her

My cat got tired of this very quickly. I thought he would be interested since he acts like a dog but just ended up using it as a bed instead lol.

Bought this for our senior Rottweiler to keep him busy and stimulate his smelling skills. He loves it so much. Its a really great toy for dogs to keep busy and we use it to distract him while we leave. Unfortunately, our dog does love to tear things up as he sniffs for the treats so after almost a month, he has ripped probably 60-70% of it. He is a very gentle giant and doesn't bite anything otherwise so this came as a surprise to us as well. Just keep in mind that the green parts do come off if pulled hard enough by a dog and be cautious of the string when leaving the toy alone with a dog, just to be safe! Otherwise, it arrived quickly, does the job and is an incredible enrichment toy. Amazing product for the price
