Fake product
The quality of the tape is nowhere near the real quality of the flex tape. Secondly, the packaging is cheap and terrible. Lastly, it is not sticky and didn't last a week before losing its stickiness.

A sticky mess!
The product arrived bent out of shape and the glue was all over the sides! I had a great experience with a rival product and as flex tape has advertised heavily, I decided to try it out. The packing was poor and as you unwind the tape it sticks to your hand. I needed it to plug a barrel which had a hole and now I am waiting for it to dry. It does not seem to have a good adhesive quality to plastic although it works well on fingers! I would not recommend the product to anyone.

Not Good
Very difficult to open the cover of the roll, as the glue was all over the roll and it took a lot of effort to open. The glue was so strong that it stuck on my fingers. The roll is so stiff and difficult to apply.

Incorrect length.
There are variations in the tape length. I ordered 4 tapes and only one of them is as advertised ( 5 ft) All remaining are less than 3 ft.

I purchased Flex Tape a few years back at the urging of a colleague who thinks every house should have at least one roll of Flex Tape. I could not agree more! We are having major roof work done and got a sudden, unexpected downpour with high winds and hail. The 3 layers of tarp covering the rafters where the roof should be sagged and collected water, which would have been okay except that the hail tore tiny holes through all 3 layers of tarp and rain water started pouring in at midnight. After getting buckets under everything and calling our contractor, who came over immediately and started trying to patch the holes with duct tape, I remembered I had a roll of Flex Tape. My contractor was skeptical ("really, as seen on TV?") but IT WORKED! Even in very wet conditions, the Flex Tape quickly adhered to the tarp and completely sealed up the holes with no leaks whatsoever. It was also strong enough that we could push a long PVC pipe up from underneath to help the tarp shed water. In fact, we added a few more patches of Flex Tape even where there were no holes simply because we knew it could withstand being pushed up without breaking. Given the severity of the storm, I'm positive that the Flex Tape saved us at least a few thousand dollars worth of water damage. UPDATE: Flex Tape continues to save our house during our renovation. We had 70 mph winds and heavy rain over the holiday weekend. The old portion of our roof (still under construction) started leaking late on Friday evening. I really did not think the Flex Tape would stick to soaking wet wood from 1949, especially with the rain pounding down, but it did! If we did not have Flex Tape on hand, I really don't know what we would have done because the leaks were extensive and located in spots where it wasn't possible to get a bucket (or anything else) underneath to catch the water. I highly, highly recommend buying some just in case!
