Verynice spotter scope.
Not to brag, but we buy these to whale watch from our lanai in Hawaii and to watch other ocean activities. We had a 60mm objective lens and it worked well, but in lower light levels (sunset or dawn) it did not gather enough light. Doing the math, an 80mm has roughly twice the light gathering area than the 60mm. That sure shows up in the view. The optics are clean and the adjustments and focus work well. There are two features we really like. The first is it comes with a cell phone mounting device so you can take photos and video if you wish. The second is the ability to rotate the tube. Our other lacked this and when both my wife and I were watching we had to choose between me stooping over or her standing on her tip toes. This one allows us to rotate the tube and stay on the object being watched.

Fun, Easy, Quality Scope
I rarely review, but this scope deserves one. This spotting scope is exactly what I expected - well, maybe a little more because it did NOT meet any expectations of frustration! It was easy to setup, and even easier to begin using - without reading any instructions (although I did later just to see if I got it right). The two photos I added were taken within a few minutes of opening the box - and I've never used a scope before, well, not since I was a kid with some pirate toy or something. And maybe I've looked through a rifle scope many years ago. Yes, those photos could be better, but the moon shot was during the late afternoon. In the tree, I know there is a bird's nest just to the right of center, and while viewing, I could see the mama moving around. Again, these were just to prove how quickly I was able to start having fun.

Disappointing
I should have believed earlier reviews which indicated zoom range of the Celestron LandScout 20-60 is just slightly more than 2 to 1 rather than the advertised 3 to 1. Which means the actual range is 20x to 42x, and NOT 20x to 60x. And I should have believed that anything beyond 30x is pretty useless, as it simply enlarges the blur. The focus ring requires so much effort to move that it's difficult to achieve fine-focus. And it's almost impossible to focus without shaking the scope. As if that were not enough, the eye relief is short and narrow, making it difficult to keep your eye in the sweet spot to see the full image. Which makes it extremely difficult to use the Digiscoping attachment. With my iPhone, I got only a small circular image in the center of the frame. With my Android, I got a bigger image that still did not fill the frame, but on which I never achieved focus. I would classify the Digiscoping adapter as a joke. That said, the Celestron Landscout 20-60 arrived quickly, and in excellent condition. Item was double-boxed, with the scope inside its carrying case, and the eyepiece inside its own protective plastic case. Scope was triple-protected from moisture during shipment. I had no complaints with quality of build of the scope. The tabletop tripod is fine for this scope.Bottom line:Image at 20x seems fine, if you can keep your eye in the sweet spot.All-in-all, I am very disappointed. Fortunately, Amazon makes returning easy.

requires some assembly but has NO INSTRUCTIONS
The only directions that come with this POS is how to mount a cell phone in the stupid holder, like we can't figure that out or like I'll be using that gimmick. There's no instructions for anything else, how to put it together, how to adjust it, no specs, NOTHING. This disrespectfulness to the buyer & for me, by itself, is plenty reason to leave a bad review. But then there is more that is a slap in the face: THERE IS NO dust cap for the viewing end. it's all plastic

No good
Couldn't see hits on paper at 100 yards. I have $20 binoculars that work better.

Can’t beat the price
The phone adapter is a pain but the glass is clear for the price

It has zoom...but that is all.
This did bring you in very close.Sadly, what this spotting scope did for me was justify Luepold for charging $530 for theirs: beautiful view through that one.The issue I had with this Celestron was that the eye relief was so finicky: it was trying to look through a straw. It you have glasses, or for some reason can't put your eye ball just about on the eyepiece lens...not going to work well for you.I couldn't get the phone lens lined up with the bracket; my mast hope was to get the phone on it and look through the phone screen. But, too many moving parts, I got a "glimpse" of almost getting it to work.
